Chapter 20
Hearing these horrifying truths, Felix sobered up instantly!
His whole body went cold, as if he’d been plunged into an icy abyss!
He had always thought Hazel was just a little petty, a little greedy. He had never imagined that behind his back, she had done such monstrous, appalling things to Stella!
And he had been kept in the dark the whole time, even hurting and pressuring Stella again and again for the sake of such a wicked woman!
Thinking of the pain and despair Stella must have endured, Felix’s heart felt as if it were being ripped apart by countless hands, the pain so intense he could barely breathe! His disgust and hatred for Hazel reached their peak in that moment!
He shot up from the sofa, stormed into the bedroom, and violently dragged the sleeping Hazel out of bed!
“Ah!” Hazel woke with a start, looking in terror at Felix’s savage expression. “Felix… what are you doing?!”
Felix’s eyes were icy, as if he were looking at a pile of disgusting trash. His voice was bone–chilling. “Hazel, I know everything you did. I must have been blind! Tomorrow, I’m having my lawyers handle the divorce proceedings. I’ll give you enough money to live on for the rest of your life. But from now on, don’t you ever show your face in front of me again!”
Hazel was completely stunned. When she finally processed his words, she began to wail and beg. “No! Felix! Don’t! I was wrong! I’ll never do it again! For the sake of our child, please forgive me this one time! I can’t live without you!”
“Forgive you?” Felix sneered, shaking her hand off. “I regret ever meeting you, regret ever being with you! Just looking at your face makes me sick!”
Crushed by his ruthless words, Hazel broke down and screamed, “Felix! You’re not human! I gave you a son, I’ve been with you for all these years! Now you see Stella shining, you regret it, and you want to just kick me to the curb?!
Dream on! I’ll die before I divorce you!”
“It’s not up to you!” Felix had lost all patience. He called the bodyguards and, ignoring Hazel’s crying and struggling, had her forcibly dragged out of the villa and thrown into the cold night.
After dealing with Hazel, Felix’s mind was a mess, but more than that, he felt a twisted sense of “relief“.
As if, by removing a huge obstacle, he could… start over?
The thought made his heart pound.
