Chapter 13
Boom!
Like a bolt of lightning, the words struck Dahlia, and she froze.
Outside, a torrential downpour began, each drop hammering against her heart.
“It’s over. Everything is over!”
This baby was her only ticket into the Reeves family, and now, that last shred of hope was gone.
Her chest heaved as she sobbed violently, gasping for breath, her cries echoing through the empty hospital room for a long, long time…
During her recovery, Caspian never once visited Dahlia.
The supplementary credit card linked to his account was frozen, her new movie role was cancelled, and her celebrity status plummeted. She spent her days in
ears.
One day, two bodyguards burst into her hospital room and, without a word, dragged her out.
he recognized them as Caspian’s trusted men. She kicked and screamed, her eyes wide with terror. “What are you doing? Let me go!”
One of the bodyguards slapped her, making her head ring. “Behave.”
And so, Dahlia, barefoot and in her hospital gown, was forcibly taken to a memorial hall.
n the center was a memorial tablet with the words “Scarlett Marlowe” carved into it.
heavy force pushed down on her shoulders, and Dahlia fell to her knees with a thud. Her head was then slammed to the ground, and a trickle of red blood
an from her forehead to the floor.
he shrieked, “Let go of me! I’m the future Mrs. Reeves! How dare you treat me like this?! Caspian will never forgive you!”
he bodyguards paused for a second, then sneered. “Hahaha, you must be living in a dream. This was Mr. Reeves’s idea.”
And Mr. Reeves also said… we can do whatever we want.”
ahlia stiffly raised her head, her lips pale, “What do you mean?”
Vatching the two men in front of her take off their jackets, she quickly understood what they meant.
ahlia’s eyes filled with terror. She scrambled to crawl away, but her ankle was grabbed, and she was dragged back.
he two bodyguards loomed over her with menacing grins. “Our apologies, Ms. Summers.”
hen, pleas for mercy and suggestive moans filled the memorial hall.
Bastards! Caspian Reeves, you are all bastards-
or some time after, Dahlia suffered both psychological and physical torture.
very day, she was dragged by her hair to the memorial tablet to repent, and forced to crawl on her knees up the steps of a church to pray for my soul.
Over time, her knees were raw and bloody, and her once beautiful face was ruined.
But even this was not enough to atone for the harm she had caused me.

Chapter 13
That night, at Reeves Entertainment Group:
Caspian put away the wedding photo on his desk, planning to take a break from the public eye for a while.
Suddenly, a notification popped up on his phone: [A new charge has been made to the card ending in 6208.]
His expression froze. If he remembered correctly, this was the card we had gotten together, linked to his phone number.
A new charge on this card, from overseas? Did that mean…
The more he thought about it, the faster his breathing became.
He immediately called his assistant. “Go, find the exact IP address for this card!”
‘My Scarlett… she might not be dead!”
Seeing his boss’s desperate hope, the assistant sighed to himself.
This was the twenty–first time he had tried to find his wife’s whereabouts. None of the previous attempts had been successful.
After a few seconds of thought, the assistant hid his doubts, simply nodded, and left. “Yes, sir!”
n his car, Caspian didn’t drive home right away. Instead, he headed to the company I used to work for.
