He Loves Me Right, Finally novel Chapter 192

Wynette slowly woke up the next morning under a burst of blinding sunlight.

The storm outside the window from last night had disappeared, and now the sun quietly peeked through the clouds.

Sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains and fell onto Wynette's body.

A large hand was wrapped around her waist.

The blanket loosely covered her chest.

The exposed skin above it was covered in marks of varying shades of red.

The intimate scenes from last night with Adriel suddenly replayed vividly in her mind.

Only now did Wynette finally feel like her waist felt sore enough to break.

Her cheeks flushed red as she turned her head and looked at Adriel, who still held onto her tightly beside her.

Adriel had his face buried against Wynette's shoulder.

One arm possessively wrapped around her.

Feeling their bare skin pressed together like this made the heated memories from last night flood Wynette's mind all over again.

Wynette blinked, and her face burned even hotter.

Last night, it seemed like she had been the one clinging to Adriel first.

Originally, she had only wanted to stay by his side, but somehow, she ended up completely swept into it herself.

Wynette fell silent.

There was no point regretting it now anyway.

Besides, she didn't dislike being intimate with Adriel.

"What time is it?" Adriel shifted slightly and tightened his hold around Wynette.

He buried his face deeper into her shoulder and asked in a muffled voice.

Neither Wynette nor Adriel had noticed when the electricity came back on last night.

The two of them had stayed tangled together on the bed for a very long time.

So long that Wynette completely forgot to check the time herself.

After everything, Wynette had been so exhausted that she hadn't even wanted to move a finger.

In the end, Adriel had carried her into the bathroom with one arm for a quick cleanup before carrying her back to bed.

The scenes from last night replayed frame by frame in Wynette's mind.

Adriel's sudden voice pulled her thoughts back.

She grabbed her phone and glanced at it. "Seven-thirty."

Hearing that, Adriel muttered softly, "Sleep a little longer."

Last night, he had kept fooling around with Wynette until after two in the morning before they finally rested.

With so little sleep, Wynette had to be exhausted.

Wynette pushed lightly at Adriel beside her. "No more sleeping. The weather cleared up, so I booked plane tickets. Let's head back."

Alice was still waiting for the materials to finish the final product.

After being nudged by Wynette, Adriel finally woke up properly.

The moment he opened his eyes and saw Wynette, he smiled gently at her. "Morning."

Looking at Adriel now, Wynette found it hard to connect this version of him with the one from last night.

Smiling, she leaned down and kissed the corner of his lips. "Morning. Time to get up."

As she spoke, Wynette pulled his hand off her waist, lifted the blanket, and climbed out of bed.

She casually picked up the clothes scattered on the floor and slipped them on.

Seeing Adriel still lying lazily on the bed instantly made Wynette laugh.

He looked completely unwilling to wake up as he rolled over onto his stomach.

He buried his face into the pillow Wynette had slept on.

Because Wynette had thrown off the blanket and Adriel had rolled over, the blanket barely covered his waist now.

The exposed skin on Adriel's neck and back was also covered in marks.

When Wynette heard Noah's name again, her eyes immediately filled with disdain. "Justin still hasn't brought back the illegitimate son?"

That speed didn't make sense.

Based on the current situation, since Justin had already decided to throw caution to the wind, no matter how strongly Eve opposed him, he definitely intended to bring the illegitimate child back.

Shirley sneered. "That's exactly what I was about to say. Lorelei had probably hidden the kid somewhere. Justin can't find him at all."

It was honestly hilarious.

Justin had only ever treated that illegitimate son as a backup option. In order to hide all his dirty secrets, he had only arranged for people to send money over regularly and never bothered with the child afterward.

Apparently, most of that money had been intercepted midway and pocketed by others, leaving very little that actually reached the child.

Now Justin suddenly wanted to bring the illegitimate son back to the Shepherds, but unfortunately, the child had vanished.

And Shirley had reasons for suspecting Lorelei was the one hiding the boy.

After all, Lorelei had been the one who originally exposed the existence of the illegitimate child. Since she had known about it this whole time, she definitely must have prepared backup plans for herself.

After hearing Shirley's words, Wynette sneered coldly. "The Shepherds is already a complete mess right now. Just keep watching them."

As for the Shepherds, Wynette had already stolen many of their business deals. And for the deals she couldn't take, she still found ways to sabotage their cooperation.

There was no way Justin didn't know about it.

But up until now, he still hadn't retaliated, which only proved that the chaos within the Shepherds had already left Justin overwhelmed.

After ending the topic about the Shepherds, Wynette instructed Shirley to book a hotel and handed over all arrangements regarding Callie's visit to her as well.

Once things finally quieted down, Wynette let out a soft breath of relief.

After calming down, she couldn't help thinking about Adriel's unusual behavior last night.

She wondered whether she should contact Joanne and ask about it.

Several times, Wynette picked up her phone intending to call Joanne, but she never actually dialed the number.

Maybe when Adriel wanted her to know, he would naturally tell her himself.

Wynette always felt that deliberately digging into Adriel's private matters wasn't the right thing to do.

In the end, she simply gave up on the idea.
