After coming down from the rooftop, Wynette and Adriel ran into Gavin, who had just finished cooperating with the investigation.

The moment Gavin heard that, he quickly waved it off with a grin. “But you’re the victim too. After watching this whole drama unfold today, I’m honestly even more relieved that you cut ties completely with that scumbag from the Shepherds. It’s terrifying. And Lorelei’s a complete lunatic too.”

As though suddenly remembering something, Gavin pulled out his phone. “Oh, right. I happen to have evidence that Lorelei forged her medical records. Give me your number, and I’ll send it to you.”

Sometimes things really did line up perfectly.

The doctor who had helped Lorelei fake the medical report used to work at a hospital under the Holloway Group, but he’d been fired after getting caught up in some scandal.
