He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 46

Instantly, Sebastian's eyes turned a terrifying shade of dark.

It was her old college senior. He certainly remembered the guy.

He had assumed she had cut ties with all those people. Had she been lying to his face this entire time?

Millions of dollars wasn't a world-shattering amount, but it wasn't exactly pocket change either.

For a man to hand over that kind of cash to a woman, it proved she meant something significant to him.

He had always known about the lingering tension between Lance and Helena back in the day.

Even after they had gotten married, Lance had never truly backed off, constantly trying to persuade her to move overseas.

He had simply refused to allow it.

In the early days of their marriage, Helena had looked at him with pure adoration and awe, never once daring to defy a single word he said.

Now, she was nothing but sharp edges and rebellion.

His mind jumped to her sudden demand for a divorce.

Was she asking for a divorce so she could run off to Lance?

Had she been cuckolding him this whole time? Why else would Lance casually drop millions into her bank account?

The toxic thoughts festered, feeding the inferno of rage building inside him.

His eyes practically bled malice.

"Where is she?" he demanded, biting out each syllable.

"Mrs. Hayes took a call and left the premises shortly after arriving. I checked the logs—she never checked in for an appointment, nor did she meet with anyone," Carter replied promptly.

Without another word, Sebastian ended the call and stormed toward the exit.

Throwing himself into the driver's seat, he fired up the engine and immediately dialed her number.

It rang out, unanswered.

After three more failed attempts, the realization hit him—she had blocked his number.

Hah.

He let out a chilling laugh, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the steering wheel. He dialed Carter again.

"Find her. Now," he commanded ruthlessly.
