He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 721

"Who provided the egg for this child?" Sebastian demanded ruthlessly.

Leon shook his head frantically. "We honestly have absolutely no idea. The doctor kept us completely in the dark on that."

Sebastian stared at him in terrifying silence.

But he could tell the terrified man wasn't lying.

"Now that Dr. Cheng is dead, that secret is probably buried with him forever," Leon whispered, completely defeated.

Sebastian didn't waste any more time on him.

Carter personally escorted the shaking man out the door.

It was painfully obvious to anyone watching that Leon was drenched in a cold, terrified sweat.

Sebastian stood rooted to the spot, his mind racing through the horrific implications.

Carter quickly returned and looked at his boss.

"Mr. Hayes, this entire situation..." Carter began, his face grave.

In the beginning, they all assumed this was just a simple case of deception.

They thought Janetta had just secretly used another woman's egg to produce an heir.

But as the layers peeled back, the truth was far more sinister.

Because they had absolutely zero leads on the boy's actual biological mother.

It stank to high heaven of a deeply entrenched, calculated conspiracy.

It was as if Kyle had just materialized out of thin air.

And the one man who held all the answers had conveniently dropped dead last year.

"Tear through the hospital records and investigate every single person connected to Dr. Cheng," Sebastian ordered with chilling composure.

"Understood," Carter replied sharply.

It was the only viable move they had left.

"And lock this down tight. No one breathes a word of this. Keep a close eye on everyone involved to ensure there are no more 'accidents,'" Sebastian finalized.

Carter nodded, then suddenly looked back up, a question lingering in his eyes.

Sebastian knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Janetta has no idea," he stated flatly.

Carter looked genuinely surprised.

But Sebastian knew exactly how the woman operated.

She would have demanded a foolproof guarantee that the child was biologically theirs.

When her own body failed her, she sought outside resources to secure her position, resulting in her absolute lack of affection for the boy.

He hadn't told a single soul he was coming.

He completely ignored the luxury hotels and headed directly to Sebastian's Victoria Harbour Apartment.

An apartment that just happened to share a wall with Helena's current residence.

The residential towers in the city were packed incredibly tight.

From the floor-to-ceiling windows of his penthouse, he had a perfect vantage point to watch her car pull in and out of the building next door.

After all, they lived in the exact same high-end complex.

They even shared the same underground parking garage.

He stood perfectly still by the glass, his dark eyes tracking the streets below.

Suddenly, a dark thought crossed his mind, and he dialed his assistant's number.

"One more thing. Dig up the plastic surgeon who worked on Charlotte Morgan years ago," he ordered coolly.

"Right away," Carter replied without hesitation.

He ended the call immediately.

To Carter, the reasoning behind this request was blindingly obvious.

It had everything to do with the woman currently calling herself Helena Wallace.
