He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 898

"Not at the moment. The weather here is much colder, and Kyle isn't quite used to it yet. Plus, with his allergies, a hotel isn't an option. They just aren't clean enough." He spoke with perfect nonchalance.

In short, he currently had nowhere else to live.

She would have to be insane to believe a word he said.

She stared at him with a stormy expression. "Sebastian, you're doing this without my permission."

"I already told Kyle we'd be crashing here for a couple of days. If you have an issue with it, you can tell him yourself when he gets here," he replied without a hint of anger.

His hands never stopped moving.

The ingredients were fully prepped.

In no time, he turned on the stove and began cooking.

The rich aroma of the food soon filled the kitchen.

Helena felt even more terrible.

She thought he was an absolute bastard for dumping all the responsibility onto her shoulders.

How was she supposed to look Kyle in the eye and tell him she didn't want him there?

She could never say something like that to a child.

She cursed Sebastian countless times in her head.

And he completely ignored her silent seething.

She felt increasingly cornered.

And she had no real way to kick him out.

She couldn't even describe the suffocating sensation.

It felt as though her long-standing peace had been abruptly shattered by his intrusion.

She was terrified she might just snap and start throwing things at him.

Deciding to keep her mouth shut, she turned on her heel and marched into the living room.

She refused to even look at him.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated.

It was a call from Xavier.

She answered it immediately. "Professor Zane, did you make it home?"

"I did. I just wanted to call and let you know," he replied with a warm chuckle.

"Good," she nodded.

"How about I pick you up for the play this weekend?" he asked, gauging her interest. "Your car is still parked at the campus, which is a bit inconvenient, and the theater is in the opposite direction. I can drive you to get your car after the show."

It was a perfectly reasonable plan.
