He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 903

She forced down her surging frustration, gritting her teeth against the annoyance.

Having adjusted her composure, she said, "It's really okay, Professor Zane. My allergies aren't nearly as severe as he claimed."

It was impossible to tell if he bought the excuse, but he remained noticeably quiet.

After a long pause, he finally spoke up. "Mr. Hayes seems to know you incredibly well."

"I lived in Riverton for years, so we've known each other for a long time," she offered a half-truth. "And my dietary restrictions aren't exactly a closely guarded secret."

That explanation seemed to satisfy him, clearing away his lingering doubts.

"Let me reorder," he said simply.

She didn't try to stop him.

But the mood for a nice dinner was completely shattered.

He quickly ordered a few dishes she could safely eat.

She stayed very quiet.

Seeing this, Sophia tried her best to lighten the mood. The atmosphere wasn't terrible, but it was far from great.

Meanwhile, Sebastian returned to his private room.

When he pushed the door open, Kyle peaked his head around to check.

He immediately noticed his father was alone.

"Daddy, did Helena not come?" the boy couldn't help but ask.

"No," he replied coolly.

The boy smartly decided to drop the subject.

The two of them finished their meal in the private room.

After they finished, Carter Miles arrived to hand over their tickets for The Play.

"Mr. Hayes, here are the tickets. Ms. Wallace's seat is right next to yours," the assistant reported.

Since Xavier had booked the tickets, figuring out their exact seat numbers was effortless.

He gave a brief nod.

The assistant quickly and quietly excused himself.

He turned to look at his son. "Do you want to see a play?"

The boy pouted; he honestly had no interest in going.

But then he remembered that Helena would be there, along with the guy who was trying to date her.

He nodded eagerly. "Yes."
