I had him on speaker. His voice was tight, nervous.

When I didn’t answer right away, he got frantic.

“Babe, you’re worrying me. Where are you? Are you okay? just… talk to me, please.”

I let him sweat, then played dumb. “What dashcam? Did you install one?”

I heard rustling on his end–probably checking the other cars.

I pressed. “Why? You need one for something?”

Suddenly, his voice softened again. “Oh, no reason. Just curious. Hey, why didn’t you take that car?”

The topic shift was clumsy, but I played along.

“Mira’s husband drove us. I didn’t feel like being the chauffeur.”

Finley relaxed. “Oh, by the way–school’s doing a retreat this week. Seniors need to decompress. Teachers have to go.”

“The school buses aren’t enough, so I’m grabbing one of the cars.”

A retreat? Right when I’m “gone“? Yeah, sure.

I kept my voice casual. “Got it. Take a break.”

He sweet–talked me for another minute, then hung up.

Mira shoved her phone in my face. “Found it. The retreat’s at Asher’s resort–twenty–five miles from here.”

Crestwood Prep only took rich kids. Their “retreats” were five–star vacations.

The three of us locked eyes.

And left that night.

We got to the resort the evening before the students arrived.

Asher met us in the lobby.

He gave me a polite nod. “Mira filled me in. Do whatever you need.”

He also gave me Sienna and Finley’s room numbers.

Before he left, he touched Mira’s head. “Stay safe. Security’s on standby. I’ve got a meeting.”

The students each got their own rooms. The resort had hot springs, but that was just the start. Out back was a massive rec complex–golf course, stables, archery range.

I knew Finley would use this trip as cover to bring Sienna along.

So I planted cameras in both their rooms ahead of time.

A teacher screwing his student’s mom?
