Heaven or Hell: Loving My Twisted Billionaire
Chapter 111
They pushed her face back into the bloody water, her muffled screams bubbling through the crimson liquid
My heart pounded against my ribs as I scanned the area, looking for Finn. I finally spotted him at the entrance to the estate. He leaned against a sleek black car, casually smoking a cigarette, dressed in a black coat despite the warm evening. Dark sunglasses hid his eyes, but I could feel the deadly rage emanating from him even from this distance.
Victoria stood nearby, her face a mask of concern. Brian Hawkins approached Finn cautiously, as if approaching a venomous snake.
“Finn, perhaps I could handle this?” Brian suggested, his voice strained with false confidence.
“You want to join them in the fountain?” Finn replied, his voice eerily calm. “Don’t worry, I’ll get to each one. Patience.
I started moving toward him, my legs carrying me forward almost automatically. As I passed the fountain, I saw Olivia s limp form being dragged from the water. She had passed out from fear or lack of oxygen, her makeup running down her face in grotesque streaks.
Finn straightened, pulling a gun from his coat. The crowd fell silent as he approached the fountain, aiming the weapon at Olivia’s unconscious form. With a practiced motion, he released the safety.
“Finn!” I called out, my voice cutting through the tense silence.
He turned, and even behind his sunglasses, I could feel the burn of his gaze. The raw emotion in his face–a mixture of
relief, lingering rage, and something more vulnerable–hit me like a physical force.
“What’s happening?” I asked, moving closer. “Are you okay?”
His expression smoothed into something unnervingly calm. “Nothing much, he replied evenly. Thought you were dead.
Was about to avenge you.”
Victoria rushed toward me, her elegant composure momentarily forgotten. Hannah! Thank God! Are you alright?
‘I’m fine,‘ I assured her, explaining quickly. “Eliza was trapped in the woods. I went to help her get free. My phone had no
signal.‘
Victoria sighed deeply, brushing a silver strand of hair from her face. I haven’t attended one of these parties in years. Too old for this nonsense.” She gestured vaguely toward the chaos around us. But after what Firm started doing. Brian’s grandmother called me in a panic. Begged me to come stop him. A wry smile crossed her lips. As if I could stop him once he’s set his mind to something. I just came to give my old friend some peace of mind.
Her eyes flicked toward Finn, who still stood rigid with the gun in his hand. “You see? She’s fine. This reaction is.

excessive.”
I turned to look at Finn. His jaw was clenched, and his hands trembled slightly–I recognized the signs of his barely
contained fury.
Part of me was disturbed by the scene around us–the blood–red fountain, the bound hostages, the terror in everyone s eyes. It should have horrified me completely. Yet I couldn’t bring myself to condemn him, not entirely. His rage, his violent response–they were products of his past, of years spent in environments where violence was the only language spoken.
The realization that he had done all this because he thought I was hurt or dead stirred something in me. How could I judge him harshly when I understood the broken places his reactions came from? The boy who’d been abandoned, who’d learned to fight for survival, was still there beneath the dangerous man, lashing out at a world he expected would only
hurt him.
Carefully, I approached him, gently touching his arm. “I’m okay, really,” I said softly. “Have you eaten dinner yet?”
The question, so mundane amid the chaos, seemed to catch him off guard. His expression flickered, the mask of cold rage momentarily slipping.
“Let’s go home and have dinner, okay?” I suggested, my voice gentle but firm.
