Heaven or Hell: Loving My Twisted Billionaire novel Chapter 64

Chapter 64

Hannah’s POV

If this is the Sterling’s idea of hospitality, he said coldly, then I’d rather not eat at all.

The sound of Finn’s plate crashing reverberated through the opulent dining room. Blood red juice from the harslycooked Wagyu steak spread across the pristine white tablecloth like a violent painting. I stood frozen as Finn’s grip on my wrist tightened, pulling me upright beside him.

Come,he commanded, not looking at me.

The collective gasp from around the table turned into a heavy silence. William’s face had darkened to a dangerous shade of red, while

Victoria looked more resigned than surprised. Richard seemed almost amused by the drama unfolding before him.

Uncle Harold was the first to break the silence. How dare you!he sputtered, rising halfway from his chair, his napkin falling forgotten to

the floor. Thisthis disrespect! Acting like some street thug instead of a Sterling!

Finn’s expression remained impassive, but I could feel the tension radiating through his grip on my wrist.

Five years away, and you’ve learned nothing but wildness,Harold continued, emboldened by the murmurs of agreement from other family members. A true Sterling knows how to conduct himself at the family table.

Indeed, another elderly relative chimed in, her diamond earrings catching the light as she shook her head disapprovingly. Not like a

common hoodlum.

Sophia leaned toward William, her hand resting delicately on his arm. Don’t be upset, darling, she said in a stage whisper clea for everyone to hear. He’s just not used to family gatherings yet.But I caught the gleam of satisfaction in her eyes. She’d pla the bloody meat, the confrontation. It was all calculated to make Finn lose control.

I felt a surge of protectiveness rise within me. This wasn’t fair. They had deliberately provoked him, knowing his past, knowing his triggers. The raw meat wasn’t a culinary choiceit was a weapon aimed directly at Finn’s deepest wounds.

William’s voice cut through my thoughts. Sit down, Finn. Each word fell like a hammer. You will not leave this table without my

permission.

Finn’s cold laugh sent shivers down my spine. Permission? I stopped asking for that when I was fourteen.

This is not a request.William made a subtle gesture, and two security men positioned at the dining room doors stepped forward. This is a family dinner, and you will behave accordingly.

I felt Finn’s body tense beside me, coiling like a predator preparing to strike. His smile turned dangerous.

Jack,he called, voice deceptively soft.

Chapter 64

The dining room doors opened, and six men in black suits entered in perfect formation They wore thatching, Carpinees and non the coordinated precision that spoke of professional training. Though they carried nu sisible weapons, the way they positioned thereon

thive on each side of the doorway made it clear they were prepared for anything

What is the meaning of this? William roared, pushing his chair back with such force it nearly toppled Jack, you work for Sterling security. What do you think you re doing?

The man at the front maintained a professional demeanor. I apologize, Mr. Sterling, but Hellbound only takes orders from M. Finn. Were here to ensure his safe departure.

The air in the dining room crackled with tension. Two opposing forces William’s house security and Finn’s personal teamstood ready for confrontation, while the family members remained frozen in their seats, uncertain whether to flee or watch the impending disaster.

Enough!Victoria’s voice cut through the tension. She looked exhausted as she placed her napkin beside her plate. This is a family

dinner, not a battleground. William, for heaven’s sake, let them go if they wish.

William turned to his mother, fury evident in every line of his face. Mother, if you continue to undermine my authority-

Your authority?Finn interrupted, his voice dripping with disdain. Is that what this is about? Your precious authority?

Victoria sighed deeply. Finn, I understand how you feel, but please rememberthis is your home.

Finn’s laugh was hollow. Home? Is that what you call this place? He gestured around the opulent dining room. All I see here are calculations and manipulations. People waiting for me to fail, to break. His grip on my wrist loosened slightly as he turned to me. Are you coming with me or staying here?

I could feel every eye in the room on me, judging, evaluating. Richard was smirking in the corner, clearly enjoying the spectacle. Sophia maintained her concerned expression, but her eyes betrayed herthis was exactly what she’d hoped would happen. The older family members whispered among themselves, their disapproval evident.

Please,I said softly, placing my hand gently on Finn’s arm. Wait a moment.

Finn stiffened at my touch, and I worried he might lash out. But something in my voice must have reached him because he paused, his head tilting slightly toward me.

I took a deep breath and turned to face the table. I apologize for the disruption to dinner. This was meant to be a welcoming gathering, but insteadI let my gaze drift meaningfully to the bloody steak still seeping into the tablecloth. Perhaps another time, when we’re all feeling morehospitable.

William’s face darkened further, but Victoria nodded slightly, a flicker of something like approval in her eyes.

We’ll discuss this later, she said, her tone suggesting she was speaking more to William than to us.

Finn’s hand found the small of my back, guiding me toward the door where his security team waited. I could feel the rigidity in his posture, the barely contained fury. But he was walking away rather than escalatingthat was something.

Chapter 64

Hannah, dear, Victoria’s voice called out, stopping us just before we reached the doorway. Please stay. I need to speak with you.

I turned to look at Finn, my gase steady and determined. It you want me to go with you, I will. I said softly but flenly.

Fimm’s jaw Tightened. The entire room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for his decision.

I’m sorry, Victoria. I added, still looking at Finn. We can talk tomorrow when I return to the estate.

Finn’s fingers loosened their grip on my waist. “Listen to Grandmother,he said, his voice low and controlled. Stay.

I searched his face, trying to read whether he truly wanted me to stay behind or if he was simply yielding to family pressure. My eyes

asked the question my lips couldn’t form: Are you sure you don’t need me with you?

Finn offered no answer. He simply turned and walked away, his security team falling into formation around him as they disappeared

through the doorway.
