Heaven or Hell: Loving My Twisted Billionaire
Chapter 85
Hannah’s POV
I was running through the Lancaster family garden, my bare feet slapping against the smooth stones surrounding the ornate water pool. My three brothers stood at the edge, waving me toward them, their faces bright with laughter.
“Come on, Hannah! The water’s perfect,” called Thomas, my eldest brother.
But I couldn’t move any closer. Something in the dark water terrified me. I shook my head, backing away slowly.
“I can’t,” I whispered. “Something’s in there.”
They laughed, not unkindly, in that way older siblings do when they think you’re being silly. Then I saw it a sleek black fish leaping from the water, larger than any fish should be. It seemed to hang in the air for an impossible moment, its obsidian eyes fixed directly on me before it splashed back down.
My brothers didn’t see it. They continued calling me, but their voices grew distant as I turned and ran.
The fish launched itself from the pool, no longer bound by water, pursuing me through the garden. I ran until my lungs burned, each breath more difficult than the last. The air grew thick, my chest tightening painfully as I gasped for oxygen. I couldn’t breathe. I was drowning on dry land.
I jerked awake with a gasp, my heart thundering in my chest. The hospital room was dark except for the faint glow from monitoring equipment. As my eyes adjusted, I realized I wasn’t alone. A dark figure stood silently beside my bed.
I screamed, the sound tearing from my throat before I could stop it.
A hand quickly covered my mouth, pressing firmly but not painfully. The familiar scent of expensive cologne filled my
nostrils.
“It’s me,” Finn’s voice cut through the darkness. “What are you yelling for?”
His hand remained over my mouth for a moment longer before he removed it. I could make out his silhouette now, tall and imposing against the dim light filtering through the window blinds.
“How did you get in here?” I asked, my voice still unsteady. “I thought you didn’t want my help anymore.”
Though the room was dark, he seemed to know exactly where I was, his presence unnervingly precise as he stood beside the bed, watching me through the shadows.
“What, I can’t visit my own hired assistant’s room?” His voice held its usual edge, but something else lingered beneath the surface–something I couldn’t quite identify.

The way he emphasized assistant made me wince inwardly. Someone must have reported to him what I’d said at the yacht club–how I’d introduced myself as his assistant to get past security. The word seemed to irritate him, his mouth twisting slightly as he said it, as though the title I’d claimed for myself was somehow insufficient or wrong.
“I left you a note apologizing,” I said, pushing myself up to sit straighter. “I’d like us to go back to being professional-
“Are you afraid of me, Hannah?” Finn leaned down, his hand finding my chin with unerring accuracy, fingers gripping firmly. “Is that why you’re sending goodbye gifts and running away?”
I swallowed hard, feeling the pressure of his fingers against my skin. “I’m not afraid of you, Finn. I’m afraid of losing you.” The truth spilled out before I could stop it. “If my caring for you is more than you can handle, then we can go back to how things were. I’ll be happy just to see you from a distance.”
He made a sound somewhere between a laugh and a scoff. “Hannah Lancaster, you’re quite something, aren’t you? Coming and going whenever you please. Who gave you that kind of courage?”
His fingers tightened slightly on my chin, not enough to hurt but enough to remind me of his strength.
“Finn, I only wanted to help you-”
Before I could finish, he leaned down and found my mouth with his. This kiss wasn’t gentle or questioning. It was demanding, almost punishing. I gasped when I felt a sharp pain–he’d bitten my tongue. The metallic taste of blood filled
my mouth.
Finn pulled back slightly. “Your blood is sweet, Hannah,” he murmured, his voice low and dangerous.
My heart raced, partly from fear, partly from something else entirely. He guided my arms to wrap around his waist, positioning us like intimate lovers. We remained that way for what felt like minutes, neither speaking. His breathing eventually slowed, matching mine.
“Still want to try?” he asked finally, breaking the silence.
I blinked in surprise. “You’ve changed your mind? You’ll let me help you win the board’s approval?”
Instead of answering, Finn pulled me closer. I leaned into his embrace, my head resting against his chest.
“I’ll do everything I can to help you,” I whispered. “I promise.”
He kissed me again, and this time I kissed him back eagerly. When he pulled away, he seemed momentarily stunned by my
response.
“Not worried about the pregnancy anymore?” he asked, his voice gruff.
asked the doctor today,” I said. “She said the baby’s stable. Gentle intimate activity is fine.”

Finn’s throat moved as he swallowed. “You’re eager, aren’t you?” When I didn’t respond, just looked at him with that silent plea in my eyes, he leaned down and captured my lips again.
This kiss was different–raw, hungry, like he was searching for something deep inside me, but soft and tender in a way that
made my pussy ache with need.
My hands gripped his waist tight, feeling the heat from his body through his shirt, the subtle press of his hardening cock against my belly. My heart beat so hard I knew he felt it, too.
His fingers moved from my chin to the back of my neck, pulling me closer with such care, like he couldn’t let go.
For a moment, the hospital room, the clean smell of soap, the quiet beeps–it all vanished.
There was just him, his gentle touch as his hand slid down my side, cupping my breast through my gown, his thumb rubbing my nipple slow and light, sending shivers down my spine.
