A piano had already been set up for the party.
Lily had arranged it on purpose.

She’d already planned to play a piano piece at Nina’s welcome party and have her friends draw comparisons between her
and Nina.
Her reputation would get a boost.
Everyone would see that the real heiress the Sinclair family found was nothing but a talentless loser.
Meanwhile, Lily knew how to do the right thing. She’d organized such a high-class event for Nina’s welcome, and she was clearly the talented one, yet the Sinclair family didn’t value her at all.
By then, the Sinclair family would be the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.
To save face, Sarah would have to start treating her better.
At the very least, she could get some of her allowance back.
But what she never expected was Sarah publicly announcing at the welcome party that Nina was the official heir to the Sinclair family.
And on top of that, every single one of the Sinclair family’s younger generation was all on Nina’s side.
What really blew her away was finding out Nina was actually the chairman of SN Corporation.
Just that one title alone instantly overshadowed everything else.
The second and third branches of the Sinclair family, who’d had plenty to say about Nina taking over just moments ago, suddenly went silent.
Pretty much everyone in the family just went along with Nina inheriting the Sinclair family business.
All these changes hit her like a ton of bricks. She was totally blindsided.
She just couldn’t accept it.
She couldn’t stand how Nina got the whole Sinclair family handed to her while she did nothing.
All her years of hard work were like nothing.
So, she had to challenge Nina. She was determined to beat her, a least once.
Lily sat down at the piano, took a deep breath, and fixed her gaze on Nina. “Nina, this piece is by Maestro Linden. I’ve spent ages practicing it just for your welcome party.
“Sure, it’s a bit of a showdown between us, but I’m also playing to congratulate you on coming back to the Sinclair family.”
“Louisa’s piece?” Nina laughed, her smile dazzling and impossible to ignore.
Ryan chuckled, too, shooting Nina a sideways glance with a teasg smile. “Nina really is a charmer.”
He was definitely one of her fans.
Nina shot him a sidelong look, matching his teasing grin. “So are you, Mr. Foster.”

Ryan just smirked and didn’t say another word.
Lily set her fingers on the piano keys, and after a moment, the room filled with graceful music.
The tune was lilting and enchanting.
But everyone’s brows were furrowed, the atmosphere suddenly ense.

Halfway through the piece, someone finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Is she crazy? She actually dared to butcher Maestro Linden’s composition?
“This piece is supposed to be dark and wild, but she turned it into some mellow, feel-good background music.”
Another one said, “That’s not even the worst part. She messed up a bunch of notes, too. With skills like that, she actually thinks she’s good enough to play Maestro Linden’s piece?
“Isn’t she worried Maestro Linden will hunt her down and give her a piece of her mind?”
Someone else chimed in, “Never mind Maestro Linden herself, even her fans would eat Lily alive for this. The arrangement and vibe of this piece are what made it a fan favorite, and she turned it into a total trainwreck.
“Damn, this is making me want to rage!”
All the guests who understood piano music were outraged.
Those who didn’t know much about the piano just remained expressionless. Even if they couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong, they still found Lily’s playing rather ordinary.
The looks on the Sinclair family’s faces were interesting.
Young or old, everyone in the Sinclair family had an eye for the arts, so it was obvious to them just how lacking Lily’s performance was.
The younger Sinclair family members all had that look, barely hiding their delight at Lily’s embarrassment.
Honestly, they’d never liked Lily, not for a long time.
Back before they found out she wasn’t the real deal, she was always putting on airs as some genius, looking down her nose at her siblings and acting like she was better than everyone.
But since she was Vivian’s favorite, no matter how much they resented her, they just had to grit their teeth and put up with it..
