Chapter 234
Chapter 234
The party hall erupted, and everyone was swept up in the music
Lily clenched her fists, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief as he stared at Nina.
She thought, ‘How is this possible?
‘How could Nina play the whole piece flawlessly, not missing a single note?’

She had to tweak the original piece because she just couldn’t play it all the way through. The gentler melody fit her style better.
But Louisa was someone forever out of her league.
She’d settled for Barry as her teacher, but that was only because she had no better option.
If she’d ever had the chance to learn from Louisa, she would’ve chosen him in a heartbeat.
But with her skills, she knew she’d never be good enough for Louisa. Her style was something she could never hope to grasp.
Lily thought, ‘But why?
‘How come Nina can do it?
‘And she’s playing it flawlessly?
‘What kind of freak is that club woman, anyway?
‘Instead of using Nina’s looks to make money off men, she actually taught her business management, and even piano?’
And that wasn’t all. Lily still remembered how Nina had announced at Sarah’s birthday party that she was the executive chef for national parties.
She thought, ‘Is she crazy?
‘Since when do people learn all this high-class stuff at a nightclub?’
Lily was about to explode with rage.
Vivian’s eyes went wide, and she was totally floored by what she was seeing.
She never could’ve imagined that the daughter she’d always written off and thrown away would turn out to be such a star.
She thought, ‘If only… If only I’d known…
There was no such thing as “if only” in this world.
Regret didn’t come with a cure.
She thought, ‘And I won’t regret it. Not me.
‘Yeah! I won’t regret it!
‘I’ll never regret it, not ever!
‘Big deal if Nina’s the chairman of SN Corporation and plays piano like a pro.

Chapter 234
‘Lily’s just as good.’
Vivian drew in a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves and push down the irritation bubbling inside her.
When the music finally stopped, Nina got up from the piano.
The whole place went wild with applause, every guest totally hyped.
Sarah couldn’t hold back her tears, her voice trembling as she called out, “Nina…”
Sarah never imagined her Nina could be this incredible.
She had no idea just how much Nina had gone through to become this incredible.
Her heart hurt for Nina.
She also felt a wave of regret.
She felt for all the suffering Nina had endured when she wasn’t around to see it.
She regretted not being there to witness Nina’s growth firsthand
She really had missed out on so much of Nina’s life.
Nina strode right up to Lily, smirked wickedly, and said, “Admit you lost?”
Lily bit her lip, unable to get a word out for a long moment.
What excuse do I have not to admit I lost?’ Lily thought, humiliation burning inside her.
Even if Lily wanted to argue, she couldn’t think of a single comeback.
The thunderous applause from the guests said it all.
Nina’s skills were on another level.
She lost.
She was utterly crushed.

Lily hesitated for ages before finally blurting out, “W-We still have painting…”
She was holding onto a last shred of hope.
There’s no way Nina can paint,’ Lily thought desperately.
But honestly, her own painting skills were pretty mediocre.

She just didn’t have the bandwidth to master so many things while also studying medicine.
Reaching this level on the piano had already taken everything she had.
Deep down, she was anything but confident.
She was worried sick that Nina might be good at painting, too.
Nina scoffed, “Alright, let’s compete, then.”
The hotel didn’t have any painting supplies lying around.

Morgan had given Hazel a mission: wherever she went, she had to carry her art board and be ready to sketch anything that caught her eye.
Since today was Nina’s welcome party, Hazel wanted to make a painting for her, so she brought her art kit along just for this.
Nina took the art board and paints Hazel handed her, and said coolly, “Let’s not drag this out. Let’s paint together.”
Lily didn’t object.
Her painting skills were never anything special, and after getting crushed in the first two rounds, her confidence was already shot.
Only by painting side by side with Nina could she see just how much of a gap there was between them.
Besides, Nina had already started painting.
She didn’t even stop to think. Without a second thought, she began making bold strokes on the art board.
Lily couldn’t see what Nina was painting, but she figured it was probably just average stuff.
