Outside an abandoned factory, a black sedan was parked not far away, almost invisible in the darkness.

Nina sat in the back seat with her eyes shut, drumming her slender fingers against the window in a steady rhythm.

Simon, in the driver’s seat, was staring at the factory across from them, where a dim light glowed.

The car was dead silent.

After a long stretch of silence, Simon suddenly broke it. “Nina, someone’s coming.”

In a flash, Nina’s eyes flew open, her cold gaze locking onto the shadowy figure appearing nearby.

There was a chill in her eyes.

“It really is Martin,” Simon said, his face just as cold. “Who would’ve thought someone who looks so refined on the outside could be such a monster inside?

“Nina, if you ask me, we should just hand him over to the higher-ups and stop him from ruining more lives.”

Just thinking about what he’d seen inside the factory half an hour ago made Simon’s blood boil. He couldn’t find anywhere to vent his rage.

All the missing girls from the nightclub were there, and on top of that, there were over thirty more young

women.

They looked about twenty, like they’d just started college.

Every single one of them was chained up, covered in bruises and cuts.

They looked like they hadn’t eaten in days. They were weak, with parched, cracked lips that were almost colorless.

Across from them were nearly fifty beds, and about twenty of those had pregnant girls lying on them.

They were all about twenty, but every one of them had a heavily pregnant belly.

The ones with just a slight bump looked to be maybe four or five months along.

The ones with the biggest bellies looked like they could go into labor any minute.

Outside the factory, there were dozens of guys posted up, all armed with clubs and tasers.

Simon was so stunned by the scene that he could barely keep it together.

If he wasn’t afraid of screwing up Nina’s operation, he’d have rushed in to save them himself.

He’d always thought he was tough, but he never imagined anyone could be this ruthless.

“Wouldn’t prison be letting him off way too easy?” Nina’s gaze lingered on the factory, her voice cold as ice, sending chills down Simon’s spine.

Simon was quiet for a moment, and then asked, “So what now? Are we just going to sit here and do nothing?”

“Wait,” Nina said, shutting her eyes again, her voice icy and flat.

The car fell silent once more.

Ten minutes later, Simon said again, “Nina, we’ve got company.”

Nina opened her eyes and looked over at the figure, her gaze icy.

After a moment, Nina pulled out her phone and dated a number

“Move!” she ordered.

As soon as Nina finished speaking, the alarm went off.

It shattered the silence of the night.

Inside the factory.

Martin and Matthew looked completely shocked.

Martin whipped his head around to Matthew. “What the hell is going on? Were you followed?”

Matthew’s face darkened. “No way! I checked before I came. Nobody was tailing me.”

He was always extra careful whenever he came here.

To avoid being followed, he’d deliberately circle the area several times before finally arriving.

He was absolutely certain no one was tailing him.

As for the car Nina and Simon were parked in, he didn’t even spare it a glance.

There were plenty of people coming and going every day, and at least a dozen cars were parked outside.

And since all the cars were black, he didn’t even give them a second thought.

The sirens were getting closer. Martin, grim-faced, barked, “Move! Everyone out, now!”

“What about them?” someone asked.

“Seriously? Who cares about them right now? If we make it out alive, we can figure out the rest later. Let’s go. Saving ourselves comes first,” Martin said, then grabbed Matthew and dragged him into the tunnel.

Running a baby farm was already a major crime, and now he’d snatched a bunch of college girls, too. If he got caught, he was finished. Getting caught was not an option.
