Chapter 292

Theodore finally signed the contract.

Once the ink was dry, Simon hauled Theodore and Vance out without a second thought.

Theodore finally realized what was happening, his voice trembling with anger. “I’ve already signed! What else do you want from me?”

“Are you deaf or something, Theodore?” Nina said lazily, not even bothering to look up. “Didn’t I tell you? I’m sending you to work the floor at Midnight Club.”

Theodore’s eyes widened in shock. “I’m a guy! What kind of customers do you expect me to serve? Nina, this is way out of line!”

Everyone knew Midnight Club was the biggest nightclub in the whole country.

Nobody even knows how many branches they’ve got scattered nationwide.

Every type you could imagine shows up there.

Midnight Club isn’t just about girls. They’ve got male hosts working the floor, too.

Most folks think the girls are the real cash cows, but actually, it’s the guys who rake in the most money.

When it comes to male hosts at Midnight Club, there are way more male customers than female ones.

And to be honest, most of those male customers are kinda freaky.

Theodore thought, ‘If I got sent in there, I’d be eaten alive.

‘No way! I absolutely can’t go!’

With that thought, Theodore bolted.

But he barely made it two steps before Simon sent him sprawling with a swift kick. “You think you can run from me? Got a lot of guts, don’t you?”

Theodore was so scared he could barely think straight, and before he could even react, Simon yanked him to his feet.

Simon grabbed Theodore and Vance, one in each hand.

Vance had been so noisy that Morgan knocked him out cold before Nina even showed up.

He was still cold.

Lugging around a dead weight like that was a pain.

Simon just grabbed Vance by the hair and banged his head against the wall a few times, forcing him awake.

Vance groggily opened his eyes, and when he saw who was looming over him, he instantly sobered up. “What are you doing? Let me go! I’m Vance, the Campbell family’s heir! If you dare touch me, I’ll make you all wish you were dead!”

Simon chuckled. “Oh? And how exactly are you gonna make us wish we were dead?”

“I’ll send you to a nightclub and make you someone else’s toy!” Vance spat, trying to sound tough.

Simon laughed even louder. “Looks like you really want that kind of life, huh? Perfect, I’ll make it happen for you!”

With that, Simon dragged Theodore and Vance outside.

Theodore blurted out, “Nina, it’s all on me, Vance had nothing to do with it! He is Joanna’s kid. Are you really not worried she’ll hold this against you?”

Nina raised a hand, stopping Simon in his tracks.

Simon paused, waiting for Nina to speak.

Seeing Simon stop, Theodore flashed a hopeful smile. “Whatever went down between Joanna and me, Vance is still her flesh and blood.

“Nina, I know you’re big on family. How about you let us go? I promise you’ll never see us again. We’ll keep out of your way, you keep out of ours.”

Nina’s cold eyes locked onto Theodore, her voice steady and emotionless. “Do you know why I sent your daughter to Bradley’s place, but never said a word about your son?”

A flicker of panic flashed across Theodore’s face. “What are you talking about?”

Nina smirked. “Still don’t get it? Let me ask you this. How come I was able to track down that illegitimate daughter you stashed away, but couldn’t find your secret son?”

Theodore felt a chill run down his spine, his voice shaking. “You really know about that?”

“What do you think?” Nina’s eyes went ice-cold in a heartbeat.

Vance was actually Theodore and Evelyn’s son.

But on the very day Joanna gave birth, Theodore swapped her real baby for Vance.

That same night, Theodore took the infant up to the mountain where Vivian had once abandoned Nina and left him there.

The baby, who had just opened his eyes and hadn’t even had a chance to see the world, died alone on that mountain that night.

To this day, Joanna still blames herself, wondering how she could have raised her child to be like Vance, and she never knew the heartbreaking truth.

But in reality, Joanna had been raising someone else’s child all along.

Theodore’s knees buckled, his face full of disbelief. “How could you possibly know about this? No one else knows, just my family.”

He’d planned the whole thing himself, carried it out with his own hands, never letting anyone else get involved.
