If it hadn’t been for Project c175 getting in the way, she would have started working on Project R6 a long time ago.

She thought, ‘I haven’t even produced a semi-finished version, and Nina did it in under a minute. Who would believe that? And she thinks she can scare me with a mere legal notice, huh? No way!’

The more Claire thought about it, the colder her gaze became. “How do you prove that this is the finished version, and that you’re actually Professor Nyx?”

She swept her gaze across the crowd. “Seriously, haven’t you all card? Money talks. You can buy anything or anyone if you throw enough cash at it.”

Everyone’s faces darkened.

When Nina whipped out that vial and had someone wave aroun a legal notice, Owen felt totally deflated, but now, after hearing Claire, he thought she might be right.

Owen moved to stand beside Claire. “I’m with Claire on this one Mr. Quentin, just how much money did Nina’s backers throw at you?”

Qadir wanted to be the head of the Betrico Zenith Research Institute, and so did Owen, but he had always been overshadowed by Qadir, and Wylder only ever listened to Qadir

This was the perfect chance for him to take Wylder down, and he wasn’t going to miss it.

Wylder’s face flushed red. Pointing at Owen, he roared, “Have you lost your mind? How dare you spread rumors about me?”

Wylder was about to explode. He had spent his life working diligently, always upright and honest, and now a random man dared to slander him.

He just couldn’t swallow this insult.

Wylder, fuming, charged right at Owen and tried to land a punch.

Owen simply stepped aside, dodging it without breaking a sweat

Wylder put so much force into it that he nearly lost his balance.

Thankfully, Russell grabbed his arm just in time, keeping him upright.

Russell smirked. “Ms. Swanson, some people just won’t quit until they’re totally exposed. Let them learn their lesson, or these clowns will really start thinking they’re something.”

He thought, ‘The legal notice had already been shown to Claire. No matter how she tried to stall, she just needed to pay the overdue fines in full.’

Right now, Wylder only wanted Owen and Claire to be utterly convinced, while Nina both cleared her name and vindicated him.

Wylder gritted his teeth. “They need to be put in their place and know exactly why.”

Everyone was whispering in shock, thinking, ‘Mr. Quentin has never gotten this mad. Clearly, these two had crossed him completely.’

Everyone’s eyes were on Nina, but she just gave Wylder a dismissive look and then gestured for Simon to take action.

Simon started tapping away on his phone.

Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted, “Look at the screen behind us.”

The files Nina had prepped, along with everything she’d dug up, got swapped out. Then, a blue screen popped up, and the word “Nyx” looked super polished and stylish.

Nina glanced at her phone for a second, and a login screen appeared on the big screen.

Her fingers moved almost in perfect sync with the password being typed.

Countless pieces of information scrolled. One IP was tightly locked, and it was registered under a real name.
