“Let me introduce myself. I’m Walter Yanez, the head of the Yanez family…” Walter started.

Nina cut him off before he could finish. “No, you’re not.”

Walter looked surprised. “What makes you say that?”

“You’re an ancient martial artist,” Nina said, giving him a quick once-over. “The way you walk tells me your skills are way above those guys you sent after me.”

“I don’t know much about your kind, but I do know you folks are strict about hierarchy. You hide it well, but I can still catch that servant’s aura coming off you.”

Nina smirked. “You hold a high position, but you’re definitely not the head of the family.”

Walter had always been polite to Nina, but there was a trace of condescension in his voice; he never really respected her.

But now, he couldn’t help but take her seriously.

Walter paused for a moment, then smiled. “Looks like you really are the one the head of the Yanez family values most. You’re not like the rest. Since you’ve already figured it out, I won drag this out any longer…”

Nina cut him off again. “Tell your boss to come talk to me himself.”

Walter narrowed his eyes. “You’re not getting a meeting with the boss.”

“Then there’s nothing to talk about,” Nina said.

Walter’s face darkened. “Do you realize you’re a prisoner here now?”

Nina raised an eyebrow, a faint, almost mocking smile playing on her lips. “And do you really think I’d walk in here without a way to walk out?”

Walter laughed. “You think you can just stroll out of here? No offense, but that’s not happening.”

“Let’s see about that,” Nina shot back.

Walter didn’t say another word, keeping his eyes fixed on Nina.

Nina arched an eyebrow. “What do you want from me, exactly?

The masked man just smiled. “You’re sharp, Ms. Swanson. I bet you already know what I’m after.” He didn’t answer her directly.

Just then, a servant brought over some freshly brewed tea.

The masked man personally poured Nina a cup. “Try it. This is Panama Geisha, which cost me eighty million at auction.”

Nina picked up the cup, held it to her nose, and inhaled deeply. “Excellent coffee!”
