After leaving the hospital, Nina dialed a number she’d never called before. The phone rang a few times before it was picked up.
Without any pleasantries, Nina said straight up, “Vincent, come to Betrico. I need a favor.”
Vincent was silent on the other end.
‘She’s asking me for a favor and still has the nerve to sound so bossy, Vincent thought.
Vincent frowned slightly, then let out a soft laugh. “I know you miss me, and I miss you, too. I’ve been losing sleep over it. But unfortunately, I can’t come see you right now. My grandpa got me running errands for him.”
Nina narrowed her eyes, a wicked smile tugging at her lips. “If you’re not in Betrico in an hour, I’ll send you a homemade bomb.”
After a pause, Nina added, “It’ll be silent.”
Vincent wondered, ‘She is so naughty.
Vincent let out a soft laugh. “I’ll be there in ten minutes.”

In the hotel across from the hospital, Vincent stared at his phone after the call ended, unable to stop the grin tugging a lips.
‘Damn, she is just too clever for me,’ Vincent thought, shaking his head.
“She’s no fun at all,” he murmured.
Just then, Walter pushed the door open, looking all serious. “Mr. Sherman, Ryan’s under heavy guard. Our guys can’t get anywhere near him.”
Vincent glanced up, sounding totally uninterested. “Don’t come near me with that loser energy. You’re making me dumber just standing there.”
‘Why do I get roasted by Mr. Sherman every single day?’ Walter thought, feeling helpless.
Walter looked totally defeated. “I did everything I could. We’d already tracked down where Ryan was, but Nina was one step ahead of us.”
‘Just how much of a head start did she have?’ Walter wondered. Only ten minutes!’
Nina had barely set foot in Hillcrest before they showed up right behind her.
They were lying low behind the trees, in the exact same spot.
Nina’s crew had already found out about Phoenix Village.
They figured it out just moments after.
Nina and her crew went right in.
But for them, getting in was a whole different story.
With Nina already inside, they didn’t want to spook her or blow heir cover.

Chapter 484
The real issue was that one could never predict what Nina would do next; she always caught people off guard.
Last time, she even got nabbed by the Ancient Martial Clan.
But she still managed to walk right out like she owned the place with everyone watching.
Walter wasn’t sure if Nina had noticed them, so he didn’t dare make a move.
But seriously, it only took a day. Phoenix Village was hit by a huge scandal.
It had nothing to do with Walter and his crew, but he was still on edge.
The Enforcement Squad was combing through all of Hillcrest, looking for anyone suspicious.

Even though Walter’s record was squeaky clean, he couldn’t help worrying they’d dig up something, so he got his team out of there fast.
He was sure Ryan was doomed. But Nina, that absolute maniac who always defies the odds, somehow managed to save Ryan’s life.
And then, Vincent started calling Walter a loser.
“Losers always have the best excuses,” Vincent said lazily, not bothered at all.
Walter thought, grinding his teeth, ‘Alright, fine. I’m a loser, okay I’m the biggest loser. Is that what you want to hear?’
Vincent stood up, walked over to the window, and scanned the scene across the way with his binoculars.
From where he was, he had a clear view of the hospital room across.
Ryan was still unconscious, but the Enforcement Squad was guarding the place. Even the doctors and nurses ha through strict screening before they could get in.
Vincent’s lips curled into a faint smile. “Lucky bastard,” he muttered to himself.
Vincent set down the binoculars, slung on his coat, and strode out the door.
Walter called out in a hurry, “Mr. Sherman, where are you headed?”
Vincent didn’t even glance back. “Since when do I owe a loser like you an explanation?”
Walter muttered, “Hey, I’m not that useless!”
“Oh? Then go kill Ryan. Prove you’re not a loser,” Vincent said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
‘No way I could ever pull that off!’ Walter thought, feeling totally defeated.
Vincent paused, his voice lazy and mocking. “A loser who can’t even admit he’s a loser. You’re useless, through and through.”
