chatting together, and she couldn’t help
Sophia knew perfectly well that her grandparents and parents were deliberately giving her attitude. They wanted her to see just how much they valued Nina as part of the family.
They were also making it clear to her that if anyone dared to treat Nina badly in the Foster family, they wouldn’t hold back.
Sophia couldn’t help but feel hurt.
She just felt that after Claire had loved Ryan for so many years, he shouldn’t have treated her like that.
‘Why is everyone acting like I’m the villain now?’ Sophia thought to herself.
No one really knew what Sophia was thinking at the moment. Everyone was focused on Nina.
Nina was examining Ryan.
After checking him over, Nina said, “All his vitals look great. If everything goes smoothly, he should wake up soon.”
Nina paused, then said, “I’ll stay with him tonight. Why don’t you all head home and get some rest?”
Grace let out a sigh of relief, saying, “Alright, we’ve been here for two days without even going home to shower. Nina, we’ll leave things to you here. We’ll go freshen up and come back later
“Got it,” Nina said.
But Saul spoke up, “I’m not going home. I want to stay here with Nina and watch over Ryan.”
Grace smacked him on the head, asking, “Are you missing a screw or something?”
Saul said, “Mom, why are you hitting me? If you all go home, how’s Nina supposed to handle everything on her own? What if she needs help with something? At least I can help out a bit, right?”
Grace rolled her eyes, saying, “You’re just a third wheel. Come on let’s go home.”
Without giving Saul a chance to argue, Grace grabbed him and dragged him out.
She thought, ‘What a clueless kid.
‘Can’t he see that Nina just wants some alone time with Ryan?’
Nina hadn’t stopped searching for Ryan all this time.
Grace had heard the basics from Simon about what happened in Hillcrest, and she knew Nina hadn’t had a single momUCT alone with Ryan.
Back in Betrico, Nina had been in surgery for a whole day and night, and one thing after another kept conting up. She hasn’t
even had a chance to catch her breath.
And earlier, Nina had said she was part of the family.

Chapter 492
But Ryan had just come back from Frontierland when he ran into trouble and ended up with amnesia.
He still had no clue that Nina wanted to patch thin
up
with him.
They definitely needed some space to clear the air.
Saul was such a clueless idiot, still hanging around here playing third wheel:
He was like a ten-thousand-watt third wheel.
The kind that could zap anyone right out of the room.
Grace thought, ‘Seriously, how did I end up with kids who are all so hopeless when it comes to emotions?
“They didn’t inherit a single bit of Charles’s good sense!

That night, Ryan woke up at ten o’clock.
Nina had just finished a call from Hillcrest when she turned around and heard a noise from the bed.
Then Ryan opened his eyes, and their gazes met.
After a long silence, Ryan finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. He called out, “Nina.”
Nina moved to sit at the edge of the bed, her voice soft and gentle. She replied, “I’m here.”
Hearing that familiar voice, Ryan couldn’t hold it in anymore. He wrapped his arms around Nina in a tight embrace. He said, “I’m sorry.”
He had a million things he wanted to say, but when the moment came, all that came out was just an apology.
She just held him tight, not saying a word.
They stayed like that, wrapped in silence in the hospital room.
After a long time, Ryan finally loosened his hold and asked, a little unsure, “I remember, back in Phoenix Village, you said you were my girlfriend. Nina, are you willing to give us another shot?”
“Yeah,” Nina replied.
She paused, then looked at him seriously. She said, “Ryan, I want us to be together again.”
“Nina,” Ryan choked out, his voice trembling with feeling.
He couldn’t hold back anymore. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her like he’d been waiting forever.
That kiss carried every ounce of love and longing he’d kept bottled up.
They were both so swept up in the moment, it felt like they could’ve fallen for each other all over again.
But Nina stopped him just in time. She said, “Easy, don’t get too worked up. You just recovered, so no wild moves, okay?”
