What Ryan had done left everyone in the room stunned.

Many people turned their heads, staring at him and Nina in disbelief.

Ryan pressed his long fingers against Nina’s shoulder, teeth gritted. “I need an explanation.”

Nina rubbed her temples, a little exasperated. “You really don’t know why I broke up with you?”

“I don’t know!” Ryan’s hand on her shoulder tightened slightly. He was practically roaring. “I woke up and found out you broke up with me for no reason. Do you know how desperate that made me feel? Have you even considered my feelings?”

A hint of bloodshot red glimmered in Ryan’s eyes, his expression full of hurt and grievance.

The Fosters were dumbfounded. They could hardly believe that this desperate young man before them was really Ryan.

Ryan was usually so domineering, cold, and indifferent, yet now he looked at Nina with such vulnerability, as if seeking her

comfort.

No one knew what was going on.

“For no reason?” Nina fixed her gaze on him, slowly repeating the words.

“Then tell me why we broke up. What did I do wrong that made you want to ditch me?” Ryan’s voice trembled. “Was it that I didn’t provide you proper meals? Or that I missed a date? Or maybe I didn’t ‘serve’ you properly?”

“You’re not breaking up with me just because I didn’t dare to watch horror movies with you, are you?” Ryan sighed. “If that’s the case, I can change. I’ll watch dozens of horror movies today. How’s that?”

No one could understand how Ryan felt. He woke up one morning to find a breakup message from Nina, and it felt as if the world had ended. The worst part was, he didn’t even know why he’d been dumped.

He went looking for Nina, demanding an explanation, but she ignored his messages and calls. He didn’t even know where she had gone.

A few days ago, he learned she had returned to Scarlet’s place, so he rushed there in a panic. But not only did he not see Nina, Scarlet was gone too.

The yard was completely empty except for the herbs Nina had cared for. Everything else had been moved out.

He immediately leveraged all his connections to track Nina dow and finally discovered she was in Riverdale. Yet yesterday. when he tried messaging her, Nina had blocked him.

He pinpointed her location and rushed straight here. From yesterday until now, he hadn’t eaten or drunk a thing. He was both furious and helpless.

Nina pressed a hand to her forehead, utterly exasperated.

She thought, ‘What is this guy even talking about? Lily was still on stage, tearful, watching him. Does he really not know why I broke up with him?’

“Nina, you took my virginity. You promised you’d be with me forever. Don’t think you can push me away,” Ryan said, clinging to her like a spoiled child.

Nina furrowed her brows, her patience completely exhausted.

“Nina!” Ryan immediately lost his temper. “Tell me clearly, when did I cheat? I’ve spent twenty-four hours a day with you.

How could I have cheated?”

Nina leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, and glanced at Lily on stage. “Your fiancée is waiting for you, Mr. Foster. Aren’t you going to see her?”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Ryan followed her gaze. I didn’t see Lily, only his parents and grandparents.

A flash of shock crossed Ryan’s eyes. “Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom?”

Seeing Ryan so stunned, his family didn’t know what to say. The wondered if he hadn’t noticed them when he came in.
