A Swarmborn disguised as an elderly woman passed right in front of him, hunched over, leaning on a cane, moving wit deliberately slow steps.

Aebi’s gaze lingered on her for half a second, then moved o

Second. Third. Fourth.

One after another, they passed in front of him.

Aebi didn’t move. He simply stood there like a silent statue.

The Swarmborn quietly relaxed. They hadn’t been exposed.

Their pace quickened slightly as they tried to merge into the crowd ahead.

“Stop.”

Aebi’s voice rang out suddenly. His voice was neither loud nor soft, but it was unmistakably clear.

Every Swarmborn froze in place.

They stood stiffly, not daring to turn, not daring to move.

The entire spaceport fell silent for a brief moment, leaving only the wind.

“Left third position. The old woman.” Aebi continued speaking, Your cane is held backwards. The handle should face inward, not outward. I noticed this mistake earlier when I was observing you.”

The disguised Swarmborn went rigid.

She looked down at her cane.

It really was backwards.

A grip like that-handle facing outward-wasn’t something an elderly woman would ever do.

Her thoughts raced, trying to come up with an excuse, but it was already too late.

From around the spaceport, more figures in light green work uniforms emerged from nowhere, closing in silently.

In their hands were silver, net-like devices.

The Swarmborns recognized them instantly. Those were electro-net guns.

“And you.” Aebi’s voice continued. “The one disguised as a child your device is upside down. Even if a child cannot read, they

wouldn’t hold it like that.”

The child disguised Swarmborn instinctively tooked down

“And you,” Aebi went on without pause. “The one wearing the straw hat. Your hat is reversed the brim is facing backward. you…”

One by one, Aebi pointed them out. Each time he spoke, a Swarmborn stiffened as though struck.

From the moment they had stepped onto the ramp disguised as tourists, every flaw bad already been seen through.

Aebi didn’t actually understand humans well, but he understood his own kind too well, and that was enough.

Any unnatural detail couldn’t escape his notice.

“Desmond.” Aebi turned toward the man in the dark uniform. “All accounted for. There are one hundred of them. Not a single missing. You can signal the others to close the net.”

Desmond stood nearby with his arms crossed as he watched the scene, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.

“Nicely done, Aebi,” he said, then spoke quietly into his device.

A moment later, the dozen or so workers in uniforms moved.

Silver light flickered in the sunlight as electro-nets unfolded midair, precisely enveloping each Swarmborn. By the time the swa reacted, it was already too late.

They tried to run or resist, but the moment they moved, the energy/nets locked onto their limbs.

They hissed, struggled, and transformed. Human skin tore open/from beneath, revealing shells, compound eyes bulging outwar mouthparts snapping open to expose razor teeth.

Aebi stood there watching it all calmly.

He didn’t even step back. His hands remained in his pockets, posture relaxed-like a farm owner watching workers trim the glass his yard.

Only when the last Swarmborn had been captured did he finally pull one hand out and stretch.

“End of shift. Time for lunch. I want strawberry-vine juice and watermelon-vine salad today.”

He turned and walked toward the Swarmborn starf cafeteria, steps light, not once looking back.

Behind it, one hundred Swarmborns screamed and writhed inside the nets, scraping against the ground with their shells producing a piercing, chaotic sound.

But none of it reached Aebi anymore.
