Her Divorce, His Downfall (Sophia and Damian) novel Chapter 100

Chapter 100

It was uncanny. Not only did she have Sophia’s eyes and face, but her figure was the same-she even carried that cold, stubborn attitude, just like Sophia.

Damian froze, and even Weston and Lucas, who had known Sophia well, were left stunned.

Their gazes swept across her face, as if they were seeing a ghost.

Damian felt the air around him evaporate, his heart gripped tightly by an invisible hand, sinking deeper into his chest.

He stared, unable to look away from the face that had haunted his dreams countless times.

His voice was rough, almost breaking, when he finally whispered, “Sophia… you’re back?”

But the girl’s fingers danced across the keys, lost in her music, completely ignoring him.

Damian didn’t dare move. He feared that one wrong move

would make everything disappear like a dream, and she

would vanish in an instant-leaving him hollow, a lifeless shell wandering the world.

Each second felt like an eternity.

It was Lucas who finally reacted. He felt a jolt in his chest and motioned toward the girl, his voice low and firm, “Come here.”

The girl froze mid-note, looking up to find several imposing men staring at her all at once. Her hands became slick with sweat.

She drew a shaky breath, forcing herself forward, her head bowed, too timid to look up.

“Lift your head,” Lucas said, his brow twitching.

Realizing her anxiety, he softened his tone, trying not to scare

her.

“What’s your name?”

“Mr… Hunt, I—”

Her eyes flicked nervously across the towering men, her voice barely a whisper.

“I’m… Olivia Marshall.”

“Alright, Olivia,” Lucas replied, not pressing further.

He gently grasped her shoulders and, without a word, guided her to the empty seat beside Damian.

Damian’s face drained of color as Lucas nudged the girl closer. She was now right by his side.

Lucas leaned in slightly, a faint smirk playing on his lips, and murmured to her, “Olivia, listen carefully. Tonight, you don’t need to do anything. Just sit here and keep Damian company.”

He met her gaze directly and added, “Make him happy, and I’ll give you a check. You can name your price.”

Without waiting for a response, he picked up the microphone and walked off to sing with another girl.

Olivia’s heart pounded in her chest so hard she thought it might burst. Her cheeks flushed a deep red as she stammered, “I… I’m

Olivia.”

Damian’s expression darkened slightly at the sound of her voice.

It wasn’t Sophia. Sophia’s voice had always been sweet and delicate this girl’s was shy, almost timid, carrying a soft, uncertain lilt.

Yet the resemblance was impossible to ignore.

The icy grace she carried, the quiet resilience… even the way her shyness reminded him of Sophia in France-just after he had kissed her, when she had been a mix of anger and bashfulness. Eyery detail mirrored Sophia perfectly.

Damian felt his blood surge all at once, a long-forgotten heartbeat pounding violently in his chest.

He missed Sophia so much.

The past few months had felt like an eternity. He didn’t even know how he managed to drag himself through each day.

A voice in the back of his mind had never stopped, whispering relentlessly-the same thing over and over-Sophia didn’t die.

That belief had been the only reason he kept going.

And now… a girl who looked so much like her was standing right in front of him. Could this be a sign? That Sophia would return

soon?

Damian drew a sharp breath, trying to suppress the ache churning in his chest. His eyes reddened as he locked onto Olivia.

He stared so intensely that Olivia awkwardly shifted her gaze

away.

Only then did he finally speak, his voice low but surprisingly gentle, “I’m Damian Hall. Just… call me Damian.”

Hearing such a prestigious, icy figure speak so softly felt almost

unreal.

Olivia had been playing piano at the club for a few months, providing live accompaniment for singers.

She knew Lucas, since he was a regular, but she had never seen Damian before.

She’d heard whispers about him-how he was untouchable, the heir to New York City’s empire. She never imagined someone so commanding and intimidating would treat her, a nobody, with such gentleness.

“Damian…” she said obediently, her voice barely audible.

She then poured herself a drink. “Nice to meet you. I’ll toast to you-cheers.”
