The craziest thing about tonight? The boss actually went along with my plan.
We decided to split the chores. Literally, in his case.
I stood at the kitchen sink, humming a happy little tune as I scrubbed his severed head.
The chat feed recoiled in horror.
[She’s just as sick as he is. They deserve each other.]
They didn’t get it.
With my bad eyes, I was just washing a fuzzy black watermelon.
Suddenly, the melon in my hands vibrated.
“You seem to be in a good mood.”
“Of course,” I said.
“I think we make a great family. And I’m sure we’re going to crush this game.”
The head stared at me before cracking a wide creepy grin. It was disturbingly
handsome.
“You’ll get exactly what you want, Alice.”
I looked at him fondly, ignoring that his face was just a blur.
“I just realized something. I don’t even know your name.”
The head suddenly shot into the air.
It snapped perfectly onto the neck of the body walking out of the bathroom. He towered over me once again.
His expression darkened. A shadow passed over his face.
“I don’t have a name. You can choose one for me, if you like.”
