Her fifth daughter died, so she deleted his bloodline. novel Chapter 16

Chapter 7

Seraphina panicked, forgetting all about the Bald man and storming right up to us.

She fixed Easton with a fierce stare, her eyes filled with greed and regret.

“Sir, she’s tricking you! She’s a total pauper; she can barely even afford to eat most days!”

“And she’s not the one you’ve been talking to at all! That account… that account was mine in the first place!”

There it was, the words I’d been waiting for.

My heart clenched, and I looked up at Easton,

His face was expressionless, but his arm around my waist tightened a little.

“Oh? Is that so?” He replied casually, his gaze fixed on Seraphina like he was watching a clown. “So what?”

Seraphina froze, stunned.

“So what? I’m Seraphina! I’m the campus belle! That gaming account was mine! I was the one who was supposed to be talking to you!”

She rambled in a panic, even reaching out to grab Easton’s sleeve.

“She’s a thief! She stole my account, she stole my identity, and she stole your money!”

Easton stepped sideways to avoid her hand, his brow furrowing in disgust.

“Miss, please show some decency.”

“First, you were the one who threw that account away and gave it to my Anya.”

“Second, I know exactly who I’ve been talking to this whole time. Those voice notes, those photos, and all those… He paused, glancing down at me with a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. “Those flirty lines… do you really think someone like you could ever say things like that?”

My cheeks burned with embarrassment. I wished I could just sink into the floor and

disappear.

Why did this man have to say everything out loud!

Seraphina was left speechless, her face flushing red and turning pale in quick succession. “Flirty… flirty lines?”

She stared at me in utter disbelief, like she was seeing me for the first time.

“Anya, do you have no shame at all? For money, you’d actually…”

“That’s enough!” Easton snapped, cutting off her tantrum cold. “It’s not your place to judge my Anya.”

“And the money? I spend it on her because I want to. Every penny makes me happy.

What’s it to you?”

With that, he pulled out a black card and handed it to the shop assistant. “Wrap up every

new in-season piece in the store that fits my girl’s size. All of it.”

The sales associate was absolutely beaming-you could tell she was already calculating

her commission. The way she looked at me? Pure envy with a side of “girl, how did you

land this?”

“Right away, sir! I’ll have everything packed for you at once!”

Seraphina stared in complete shock, her mouth hanging open.

The bald man, seeing the way things were going, decided he didn’t want any trouble and

stormed off, muttering curses under his breath.

Seraphina stood rooted to the spot, staring at the piles of shopping bags scattered around us and Easton’s Maybach parked by the door. Tears streamed down her face in

an instant.

Tears of regret.

If she hadn’t given me that account, she’d be the one standing here, living all of this
