After Kamron asked about the room Kaelin had booked, a staff member led him straight to Kaelin’s private

Inside the suite. Albert was chatting with Benedict when someone knocked on the door.

Kaelin figured it was just the waiter with their drinks, so he called out, “Come in.”

“Kaelin, Benedict, it’s been a while,” Kamron greeted as the door opened.

Kaelin and Benedict both turned to look at Kamron at the door. Kaelin arched an eyebrow and glanced at

Albert.

Albert kept his gaze fixed on the other side of the room, ignoring Kamron and Stella. Elnora and Reese had already taken their seats.

Kaelin snorted and shot Kamron a look. “Didn’t expect to see you here. What brings you to the auction tonight?”

Kamron grinned as he walked over, telling the waiter to bring in a couple more stools. “Saw you guys were all here, so I figured I’d drop by and join the party,” Kamron said.

“Tried to get you all out for drinks last night, but nobody showed. Man, you guys really let me down,” he teased.

“Since you wouldn’t come see me, I guess I had to hunt you down myself,” Kamron joked.

Kaelin raised an eyebrow, giving Kamron a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. Benedict stayed quiet. He and Kamron weren’t really close anyway.

At that moment, Stella walked over and asked the waiter to bring a stool and place it right next to Albert She called out to him, “Albert,”

Albert didn’t respond. He just gave Stella a cold glance and, in an indifferent tone, told the waiter as he was about to place the stool beside him, “Take it away.”

Albert glanced at the stool in the waiter’s hands. “Take the stool away.”

The waiter froze, standing there stunned. Not wanting to upset Albert, he looked over at Stella, unsure what to do. “Where should I put it?” he asked softly.

Arnetta stood beside Albert, her face drained of color and her eyes a little red, looking like she was about to

cry.

Across the suite, Elnora was chatting with Reese. The moment she glanced up, she spotted Albert in the room opposite. Stella was standing right in front of Albert, saying something to him, and Elnora had no idea what they were talking about.

Elnora’s eyes grew colder. She looked away, picked up her coffee cup, and took a small sip.

At the same time, Albert answered the waiter with a frosty tone, “Anywhere but next to me.”

Kaelin and Benedict stayed silent. Stella kept quiet the whole time, while Kamron looked totally indifferent, as if he couldn’t care less.

Stella was just left hanging there, out in the cold. Awkwardness flashed in the waiter’s eyes, but he quickly forced a smile and turned to Stella. “Ms. Taylor, would it be alright if I put it here?” he asked.

Realizing Albert didn’t want Stella sitting next to him, the waiter decided to seat her next to Kaelin instead.

Kaelin saw the waiter bringing the stool over and said in a calm voice, “Better not put it here. My old man’s here tonight, he’s trying to set me up with someone.

“If he happens to spot a woman sitting next to me, who knows what kind of trouble I’ll be in when we get

home.”

The waiter was at a loss for words, thinking, ‘Ms. Taylor used to be pretty tight with these young masters. But now, she’s like a hot potato; none of them wants her anywhere close.’

With everyone else turning her away, the waiter could only look to Kamron for help. Kamron just sat there. not even bothering to respond. So, the waiter put Stella’s stool right next to Kamron.

After Kamron and Stella settled in, Kaelin flashed a grin and joked, “Hey Kamron, didn’t you snag your own suite?

“This place was only meant for three people, you know. Now that we’ve squeezed in a couple more, good luck seeing anything at the auction downstairs,” he teased.

Kamron smiled, looking casual and relaxed. “I’m not really interested in tonight’s auction items. I just heard you all were here, so I figured I’d come by and hang out with you guys,” he said.

Kaelin just replied with a casual “Oh,” and left it at that. Albert kept his distance from Kamron the entire time, barely exchanging a word.
