Stella shot Elnora a jealous glare. She bit down on her lip, her eyes burning with resentment.

She just couldn’t figure out why Reese would spend so much just to make Albert and Elnora a couple. It never cost that much when Albert was with her.
As the second item went up for auction, the room fell silent again. The only thing one could hear was people bidding.
But one could also hear some quiet talking coming from the next private room. “Is that Albert’s wife sitting next to Reese?” someone asked.
“Yeah,” another person replied.
“She’s actually pretty. I heard Albert ditched her at the wedding. How could he just leave a beauty like that?”
“I heard he went to play hero. His first love got into a car accident, so he had to take her to the hospital. Rumor has it he still hasn’t slept with his wife. Maybe he’s saving himself for his first love.”
The conversation from the next room drifted over. “What a shame. A beauty like her ended up with Albert. If she were my wife, I’d probably want to hold her in my arms all day and never let her go.”
“Just look at those legs, and that body…”
Everyone burst out laughing.
Albert’s grip on his wine glass tightened, and he set it aside with a heavy hand. Kaelin gave Albert a look, ready to jump in at a moment’s notice.
Benedict straightened his suit jacket and quietly spoke to the waiter standing behind him. “Go invite Mr. Olson from next door over,” he said.
The waiter nodded awkwardly and quickly left the room.
Benedict had been quietly sweating bullets for Danny the whole time he was mouthing off. They probably had no clue Albert was right next door. Talking about another man’s wife like that was seriously out of line.
Elnora was chatting with Reese when she glanced up and caught some noise coming from Albert’s private room. Everyone turned to look toward Albert’s private room.
Kaelin stood by the railing of the room, with an apologetic smile on his face. “Sorry, everyone. My dog just knocked into the table by accident. Please, go on…”
Reese frowned at that. She’d clearly seen Albert raise his foot and kick someone. But since he was inside the private room, she couldn’t see who he’d actually kicked.
Reese’s voice was icy as she spoke to the servant standing nearby. “Go find out what’s going on,” she ordered
The servant nodded and left.

Not long after, the servant came back and whispered, “Mr. Campbell and Mr. Olson started fighting.”
She continued, “From what I heard, Mr. Olson said something reckless and offended Mr. Campbell, which really pissed him off.
“They were pretty vague about it, but it sounds like Mr. Olson said something pretty nasty.”
Reese furrowed her brows, her voice cold as she spoke, “Even if someone said something out of line, that’s no excuse for him to get violent.
“Elnora, go bring him here.”
Elnora nodded and stepped out of the room.
Inside Kaelin’s private room, Albert grabbed his wine glass and smashed it against Danny’s head, his face twisted with a rare, dangerous fury.
Danny knew he’d really messed up and didn’t even dare to breathe. Blood trickled down his forehead from the shattered glass, but he didn’t even try to wipe it away.
Albert’s voice was icy. “You really think you can even dream about touching what’s mine?”
Danny, pinned by Benedict, looked terrified and hurriedly apologized. “I’m sorry, Mr. Campbell. I just said something stupid on impulse. I promise it won’t happen again. Please, have mercy and forgive me this once.”
Albert let out a cold snort, bent down, and picked up the glass shard from the floor, about to force it into Danny’s mouth.
Kaelin arched an eyebrow, surprised by Albert’s aggression. It had been a long time since Albert had acted so ruthlessly.
After graduating from college, Albert preferred to handle things as a gentleman, always choosing other ways to solve problems instead of using force.
But today, the moment Danny was brought into the room, before anyone could even react, Albert lashed out with a swift kick. The kick landed right in Danny’s chest.
