Chapter 612
“No, don’t bother.” Kamron cut Stella off, his voice cold and completely devoid of warmth. “Ms. Taylor, people should live with some value. Don’t be useless. Right now, I can’t see any worth in you.”
His eyes were full of indifference as he stared at Stella, his mockery equally merciless.
No guy who was actually into a woman would ever say something that brutal to her.
Stella stood there, her face frozen in shock as she stared at Kamron.
She couldn’t believe that the guy who’d always had her back was now hitting her with words this sharp.
“Kamron…” Stella murmured, her voice trembling with disbelief.
Kamron glanced away, his expression cold, and signaled the driver to leave.
The driver immediately started the engine and pulled away.
Just like before. Stell was left standing there.
She watched Kamron’s car disappear, her gaze full of disbelief.
A gust of wind swept by, and she shivered, snapping out of her daze. She pulled the suit jacket draped over her shoulders tighter, coming back to her senses.
‘Kamron really isn’t interested in me at all, Stella thought, her heart sinking. ‘So why would he help me, then?’
She couldn’t figure it out. Tears slipped down her cheeks, her expression hardening with defiance.
‘My life wasn’t supposed to be like this,’ she thought, resentment bubbling up inside her.
On the way back, Elnora stayed silent, her gaze calm and collected as she watched the city lights blur past the window.
Albert sat beside her, his eyes lingering on her from time to time, deep and unreadable.
Elnora glanced away from the window, caught Albert’s gaze, turned to him, and asked, “Is something wrong?”
Albert raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at his lips as he replied, “If nothing’s up, can’t I just admire you for a bit. Ms. Finley?”
Elnora remained composed, pulling her gaze away from Albert and settling back into the seat, finding a comfortable spot
Albert noticed her relaxed posture and couldn’t help but smile.
‘Any plans for tomorrow?” he asked.
Elnora closed her eyes and answered in a calm voice, “I need to visit a social media influencer incubator company owned by Supernova Entertainment
Albert’s interest was piqued, and he pressed further, “Why bother with that company? It hasn’t done much for us. I was planning to offload it next year.”

Hearing that Elnora looked up and said calmly. Before selling it off, we must clarify the resures involved Otherwise it conalet damage the company’s reputation and even harm the Campbell family
Alberts expression grew serious
“Are you saying that little company’s been up to something illegal?” he asked
Elnora responded with a calm yeah, opened her eyes and looked at Albert, then said. “It might be a management issue
Albert was silent for a moment, then looked at Elnora and replied in a low voice. “If you find anything wrong. Ms. Finley just take care of it however you want.”
Elnora nodded “Alright. Now that you’ve said that, Mr. Campbell, I feel a lot better.”
Albert fell silent.
“You think I’d play favorites?” he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Elnora didn’t reply. She just opened her eyes, her gaze icy and distant as she looked at Albert.
Albert stayed silent, waiting for her response.
But Elnora just closed her eyes again, leaving him without a definite answer.
With your approval. Mr. Campbell, it’ll make things much easier for me,” she said.
Albert fell silent.
So, she still thinks I might play favorites, Albert thought to himself.
Seeing that Elnora wasn’t really in the mood to talk about work, Albert didn’t say anything else.
Elnora leaned back in her seat, staying quiet all the way back to Southview Residence.
When they arrived at Southview Residence, the driver pulled the car to a stop.
We’re here- As soon as the driver started to speak, Albert frowned and silenced him with a glance.
That was when the driver noticed Elnora had fallen asleep, leaning back in her seat.
“You can go. Albert mouthed to the driver.
The driver nodded right away and quietly opened the door, slipping out without making a sound
Albert got out of the car, walked around to Elnora’s side, opened the door, and bent down, about to pick her up in his arms.
Right at that moment. Elnora’s eyes fluttered open
Gazing at the handsome face so close to hers, a flicker of daze passed through Elnora’s eyes
Albert smiled gently and said in a low voice. “You’re awake?
Elnora nodded, rubbed between her brows, and asked. How long did I sleep)
Albert replied, “Not long If you’re too tired to walk. I can carry you upstairs

Albert looked like he was always ready to take care of Elnora
But Elnora shook her head and swung her legs out of the car
Seeing this. Albert just stepped aside.
Elnora got out and walked straight into the house.
Last night, Albert came to her room late and woke her up, so she hadn’t managed to get any sleep after that
She’d gotten up early this morning, too, so she couldn’t help but doze off in the car
Albert followed behind her, and as Elnora climbed the steps, he gently offered his arm for support.
Elnora gave him a sideways glance.
Albert smiled and explained, “I’m just worried you might be too tired and take a spill. If that happens, my mother will definitely blame me for it.”
Elnora didn’t pull her arm away, letting him help her inside.
Their housekeeper, Belinda, was already back from her time off.
She heard the sound outside and quickly went to the door to welcome them.
Belinda set out the slippers for Elnora and Albert, placing the slippers right in front of them.
When she saw Albert gently supporting Elnora’s arm, a flicker of delight flashed in her eyes.
‘Finally, these two are showing some real closeness for once, Belinda thought to herself.
