His Mate, His Girlfriend (Love and Ellis) novel Chapter 92

Chapter 92

Love

Charlotte approached us with a smile on her lips. She wore a gown like mine, making her wet hair look even more impressive. “Oh goddess,” Ellis sounded exasperated with her.

“I’ll interact with others,” I said.

“No, don’t leave. She’ll leave,” he said. Charlotte wanted nothing but drama. She knew her time had come to leave our lives for good, and Ellis’ mind was not changing. She was making sure to aggravate us. She was bitter.

“Hey, you two,” she said with a charming smile.

“You shouldn’t have come here, Charlotte,” Ellis growled.

I was invited. We were supposed to come here together. Imagine my shock when I saw you with your ex-girlfriend.” She faked hurt.

“We are done, Charlotte. I want nothing to do with you. Leave the gala,”

She huffed and pouted her small lips.

” But I just got here, and I like it.”

I rolled my eyes. I didn’t want to exchange words with her, but Charlotte wouldn’t let that happen.

Love, look at us twining,” she twirled. 2

“If you want a cheap version, Sweetie, red is not your color,” I sneered.

“You’re so mean. You’ve always been a mean girl, Love. You pretend to be kind, but your heart is dark. How can you break up two fated mates?!” she screamed, attracting the attention of the people close to us. That’s it. I dragged her to an empty hallway and pushed her against the wall.

“You’ve bruised my arm!” she yelled. Ellis was glaring at her.

“If you know what’s fucking good for you, you’ll leave this place,” I growled at her, and she flinched.

No, you’re not having it easy, Love. You’re a bitch, and I’ll let everyone know who you are!” I slapped her, and she ended up on the ground. I grabbed her chin, and she glared at me with everything she had.

“I always have it easy because, unlike you, I’m not deceptive like a snake. Your end is near Charlotte. Watch yourself,” I whispered in a deadly tone, and she shivered. Her eyes were terrified by my words. I gracefully stood straight and smiled at Ellis, who watched me with a proud look.

‘We should dance.” I exhaled, smiling at him.

He nodded, and we went to the dance floor. I put my hands on his shoulders as he went to my waist. We swayed softly to the music. The world faded, and it was just us two. I was lost in his gaze. I smiled, knowing what I needed to do.

Everything was clear, I needed to end this with David and be with Ellis. I couldn’t deny my feelings any longer.

He made his mistakes but paid for them and is doing right by me. I leaned closer to him and felt his lips on my forehead. They lingered, and a shiver went down my back.

Vee supported this decision: ‘I know we are supposed to be with Ellis. He truly loves us and makes us happier,’ she said.

‘I just know that too,’

‘Yes,’

“Beautiful, just beautiful, my stylists said as they finished dressing me. I looked in the mirror and nodded my approval. My makeup and hair were perfect I wore a strapless black gown with a sheer skirt. I went downstairs to wait for Luis. “All those suitors of yours will die when they see you!” my maid, Gina, beamed. I didn’t care about anyone else. I only ever wanted to impress one man, Luis Vanders.

Gina sighed as she got on her knees and helped me in my new heels,” You’re still pinning over, Mr. Luis Vanders, aren’t you?”

Gina has worked for us since I was five years old. We had a special bond; she gave me motherly, warm love I didn’t get growing up.

“Yes,” I answered. ” Maybe I’m just wasting my time.”

Maybe I wasn’t good enough for Luis. He seemed to want me when he was close to me, but when we separated, I doubted he even thought about me once.

Perhaps I’m not good for him. Not his type, Gina,” I shrugged.

Oh, sweetheart, you’re falling for him,” she smiled warmly at

‘Why are you smiling? He doesn’t even want me,” I was feeling emotional thinking about it now. I was never one to be so

emotional, but when it came to Luis Vanders, the strong facade crumbled too quickly.

Gina caressed my hair,” It’s too early to say that. Even if it is unrequited love, I’m glad you finally know how it feels to be genuinely in love with someone. Not many have that.”

“But I knew we were supposed to be together the very second I met him again. I just knew it by the way my heart beat around him. Something dead in me stirred, and I knew,” I told her, quickly wiping the tear that left my ear. Gina tipped her chin up so our eyes could meet,
