Sinclair POV

“Adrian!” I screamed out.

“I’m here, Little Sin. I’m not going anywhere. You’re doing great!”

I’m breathing through contractions, and I’m trying to focus. We are pregnant again with another set of twins. Ironically, another boy and girl. We didn’t get pregnant quickly after I got off of birth control. Adrian and I started to worry that we might not be able to have any more pups. Part of me felt like it was my fault for being on birth control in the first place, but the doctor assured me that was not the reason.

When I eventually found out I was pregnant again, it was right when we decided not to worry about it anymore and enjoy the process of making them. Adrian, being the ever-determined mate, made sure to ‘improve his technique’ every night. When I told Adrian I was pregnant, he twirled me around and started yipping from happiness. Now we are at the hospital, and we are about to welcome the newest additions to our growing family.

This is the part I’m not fond of, though. I hate the pain. I am tough, but childbearing is a different kind of pain. It’s its own kind of torture. Yet, as a woman, it’s the only kind of torture I’m willing to put myself through. Although right now, I feel like I won’t make it.

“Adrian, I don’t think I can do it,” I said, gripping his hand.

I feel him pushing energy and strength through our bond. “You got this, baby. We got this.”

The doctor, who hails from the Crossfire pack, is directing the nurses to get the bassinets ready. Luca and Mia made sure to send their most promising young doctor to Blackclaw. They also helped with equipment for the hospital, and we were very grateful.

The doctor looked at me. “Okay, Luna, you need to push on the next contraction. Alpha, please support your Luna,” he said.

“Dr. Calder, get these pups out of me!” I snarled.

I could hear Adrian chuckle, and I glared at him. He shut his mouth quickly, as he should. I felt the contraction coming, and I started pushing.

“ARGH!” I cried out.

Adrian supported me and pushed strength into our bond. I am pushing with everything I have, and Dr. Calder smiles. “The head is out. One more push, Luna, and we deliver your first pup.”

I’m crying from the pain. I changed my mind. Four is more than enough. I don’t want to do this again. Two pregnancies and four pups. If I get pregnant with another set of twins, I’m castrating my mate.

I felt the next contraction, and Dr. Calder said to push with everything I had, so I did. Then I felt immediate relief.

“Congratulations, it’s a girl!” Dr. Calder said happily as a nurse handed Adrian a pair of scissors to cut the umbilical cord.

I watched him cut it, and tears filled his eyes. I don’t have time to stare at him, though, because I feel another contraction coming.

“ARGH!” I shouted.

Adrian snapped back to me. “Little Sin, you’re doing amazing. You’re almost done. Once our son is here, you’re done, baby. Just a little longer.”

“Luna, push now!’ Dr. Calder urged.
