His Regret Arrived Three Days Late novel Chapter 24

Annika had tried several times to schedule a meeting with Tyson Capital Group without success. So when she finally managed to get one today, she was overjoyed. She and Harvey rushed to the opulent club.

Before they could enter the private room, the assistant to the head of Tyson Capital Group came out and informed them that only Annika was to go inside. Harvey had no choice but to wait outside.

The room was dimly lit, making it difficult to see anyone’s face clearly.

Annika walked toward the man on the sofa. “Mr. Tyson, hello. I’m Annika Sargent, the current head of the Sargent Group. Although our company is not in the best situation right now, we—”

She took out a proposal she had worked on all night, hoping to prove the Sargent Group’s potential, but Donovan Tyson didn’t even glance at it.

“Ms. Sargent,” the man sneered, “from what I hear, the Sargent Group is several hundred million in the red. You’ve already been turned down by every bank in Seafall City, haven’t you? If Tyson Capital Group were to invest, wouldn’t that be like throwing good money after bad?”

It would be a losing investment, and he was no fool.

“Mr. Tyson,” Annika pressed, “while the Sargent Group owes several hundred million, we also have nearly two hundred million in uncollected debts. That brings our actual deficit down to about two hundred million. For Tyson Capital Group, that’s a drop in the bucket. If you agree to invest in us, I guarantee that by next year, the Sargent Group will—”

Donovan was about to cut her off impatiently when his eyes lit up at the sight of a distinguished figure walking through the door. “Mr. Beryl!”

Annika turned and unexpectedly met Conrad’s deep, emotionless gaze. His eyes swept over her for a second before shifting to Donovan, a faint smile playing on his lips. “Mr. Tyson, sorry to keep you waiting.”
