HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back) novel Chapter 886

"He's still alive," Falcon replied shortly. "Just as you wanted."

A faint grin spread across Silas's face. "Leave him."

Falcon raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised by the decision. "Why don't you want to finish him off? My men had the chance to shoot him."

"Don't," Silas answered without hesitation. He did not even seem to need a moment to consider it. "I want him to stay alive."

Falcon remained silent, waiting for the reasoning behind that decision.

"So he can tell Cale exactly what happened," Silas continued calmly.

His words instantly made several of the men nearby exchange uneasy glances. Falcon merely responded with a faint smile, appreciating the brilliance of his partner's tactics. "Sometimes I wonder about you."

"What?" Silas asked flatly.

"You're far more terrifying than I ever imagined," Falcon said.

Silas did not react to the veiled compliment at all. His attention had already shifted entirely toward the vehicle door, which his men were slowly opening.

Naomi was the first to be pulled out of the van. Her hands were still tightly bound in front of her chest. Her face was pale from shock, but her eyes darted around frantically, searching for someone. The instant her gaze found Lydia, who had just been taken out of another vehicle, Naomi's breath caught in her throat.

"Mrs. Lydia!" Naomi cried in panic. She instinctively stepped forward, trying to reach her, but two guards standing firmly at her sides immediately stopped her with a rough shove.

On the other side, Lydia had also just been forced out of the vehicle. Her face still bore the reddish marks from the heavy blow she had taken during the earlier ambush. Even under such pressure, she remained standing straight, carrying herself with the same calm composure she always had.

The moment she saw that Naomi was unharmed and safe, the tightness in Lydia's chest eased slightly.

"Naomi, I'm all right," Lydia said reassuringly, stopping the girl before she could give in to her fear and bombard her with questions.

Hearing that, Naomi slowly shook her head, her eyes glistening with tears. "I'm sorry... This is all because of me. You got caught up in this because of me."

Lydia immediately cut her off firmly. "Don't ever think that way, Naomi." Her gaze remained steady and calm. "This isn't the time for us to blame ourselves."

Silas smiled faintly at her words. "I never expected him to let it go. In fact, I want him to come here as soon as possible."

Lydia let out a quiet breath, looking away for a moment before turning her eyes back to Silas. "Then you'd better be ready. Because when he finds you, there won't be anywhere in Carrington Bay far enough away to save you."

Silence once again settled over the old warehouse after Lydia's warning.

Falcon, who had been standing not far from Naomi the entire time, let out a quiet chuckle, amused by the resolve shown by their captive. "You certainly have a remarkable amount of confidence," he mocked.

Lydia turned to look at Falcon. "It's not confidence," she replied, her gaze unwavering. "It's conviction."

Falcon clicked his tongue softly, unwilling to prolong the argument. He immediately gave a subtle signal to several of his men. "Time to go."

The moment she heard that order, Naomi immediately tensed. "What do you mean?"

Falcon walked toward her, never taking his eyes off her face. "We're moving to another location."
