HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back) novel Chapter 892

The faintest smile crossed Cale's lips. "Very well, then. Thank you for the information."

"Of course, Mr. Miller. And if you can, go after them immediately."

The call finally came to an end.

Before Cale could even lower the phone from his ear, another incoming call immediately interrupted the silence. This time, the name on the screen made Vincent, seated in the front, let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Chris.

The moment Cale answered, his younger brother's voice came through without any preamble. "I've arrived at Carrington Bay Airport."

In the background, the distant bustle of the terminal and the sound of people hurrying past could still be heard. "I walked straight out the moment the plane's wheels touched the runway. Where are you? I'll come to you immediately."

Cale did not answer his brother's question right away. His eyes remained fixed on the coordinates of the old house Brandon had just sent him. Several seconds later, he finally spoke, his voice quiet but unmistakably firm. "Brandon has located Naomi's hiding place."

Chris's footsteps came to an abrupt halt on the other end of the line. "Naomi's with Falcon?"

"Yes."

"What about Lydia?" Chris asked immediately.

But before Cale could answer, the silence on the line had already given Chris the answer. Lydia had not been found. Chris drew a long breath, trying to suppress the anger building inside his chest. "Then what do you need me to do?"

Cale lifted his eyes from the tablet and stared straight at the dark road stretching endlessly ahead of their vehicle. "Go to the address I'm about to send you. You have only one mission there, Chris."

Vincent immediately carried out Cale's orders. Meanwhile, Cale slowly closed the tablet on his lap and leaned back against his seat. "Chris will bring Naomi home."

At first, Vincent didn't want to ask, but this concerned Lydia's safety. Cale's wife. "Then what about us?"

Cale slowly turned his gaze toward the window, watching the streetlights of Carrington Bay race past. His eyes were far colder and sharper than they had been just minutes earlier, a clear sign that his mind was already formulating a counterattack.

"Silas deliberately concealed Lydia's whereabouts from everyone, including Falcon," Cale said in a low, calculated voice. "Which means... he's waiting for me to come looking for her."

Vincent fell silent. It was the first time he had ever seen Cale's eyes so cold. The anxiety and panic that had filled the man's face earlier were completely gone. Every trace of those emotions had transformed into something far more dangerous: an unshakable determination to destroy anyone who dared lay a hand on his family.

Cale fixed Vincent with an unwavering gaze and continued, "So why don't we give him exactly what he wants?"
