Vincent, seated in the front, shifted his full attention to the conversation, listening intently.
"I don't know when he started using this property while he was in Carrington Bay. But I don't think he's working alone. I'm sure you've come to the same conclusion, haven't you?"
"Yes," Cale replied briefly.
"I've already ordered my people to check everything." Brandon paused to take a breath before continuing. "One of my most trusted men has just sent me an update."
Cale's eyes sharpened instantly. "Go on."
"I'm confident Naomi is at one of those locations."
"You're sure?" Cale asked, seeking confirmation.
"Eighty percent," Brandon answered without the slightest hesitation. "I wouldn't be foolish enough to call you now if I didn't believe this information myself, Mr. Miller."
Cale quickly snatched the tablet from Vincent's hands. "Give me the location."
Brandon immediately gave him the address of a secluded property on the western outskirts of Carrington Bay. It was an old house far from the noise of the city center, the perfect place to lie low for a while.
Vincent swiftly entered the address into the system. The digital map on the tablet immediately processed the data and zoomed in on the isolated area.
"But..." Brandon's voice came through the speaker again, his tone suddenly turning hesitant. "My men didn't find Mrs. Lydia there."
Cale's hand stopped moving. He fell silent, waiting for Brandon to continue.
"I tried tracking the other route, but I completely lost her trail. Silas Evermont was far too careful in planning this operation." Brandon tightened his grip on the phone in his hand. "I'm not even sure my brother himself knows the exact location where Lydia is being held."
For several seconds, neither of them spoke. The atmosphere inside the speeding car grew even more oppressive. Brandon finally let out a long breath before speaking again. "Mr. Miller, the choice is yours now."
"I know you may find it difficult to trust me at a time like this," Brandon continued, his voice steady. "But after working with TnC for so many years, I've learned one important thing. I respect you far more than I ever respected my own brother."
The words left Brandon's mouth without the slightest hesitation. There was nothing in his tone to suggest he was trying to win sympathy in the middle of such a critical situation. Instead, it was an honest admission he had never openly expressed before.
"I don't want Naomi to become a victim of their twisted ambitions," Brandon said firmly again.
"So," Cale seemed to consider Brandon's words, but why should he think like an angel at a time like this?
"If Falcon ends up dying at my hands," Cale deliberately paused. "Do you intend to stop me?"
Brandon remained silent for a long moment before finally answering, "Whatever you do has nothing to do with me."
