HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back) novel Chapter 902

Cale gave a brief nod, accepting the report without showing the slightest emotional reaction. "Activate the informant network outside the city as a precaution as well."

"Yes, Master."

"Keep the search focused on Naomi and Lydia. Find a way to pick up their trail again," Cale continued, his voice calm yet commanding.

Everyone in the room instinctively raised their heads and looked straight toward the head of the table.

Chris immediately turned to his brother. The two brothers' eyes met for several seconds amid the tension filling the room.

"No one is to be left out of this search," Cale declared firmly.

No one spoke to interrupt Cale, so he continued.

"We're dealing with two groups operating with different patterns. And as you all know, Lydia and Naomi are not being held in the same location."

"Is this connected to Falcon's group?" Leon asked, seeking confirmation of the target.

Cale clenched his jaw for a moment before answering. "Not just him." His hand tightened into a fist without him realizing it. "I'm certain Silas Evermont is involved as well."

The moment Cale mentioned Silas's name without hesitation, several people stared in disbelief. But considering how Silas had always tried to obstruct Cale Miller's every move and plan, it made perfect sense.

Leon was the first to speak. "We'll bring them home, Master."

The others followed in unison. "We will not disappoint you, Master."

"We'll move out immediately."

Without needing to be told twice, they left the conference room with hurried steps. In less than a minute, the room that had just been filled with more than a dozen people was quiet once again.

Only Cale, Chris, Vincent, Gio, Brandon, and Brandon's assistant remained.

Chris looked toward the door that had just closed. "I finally understand." He turned to Cale. "Why they respect you so much."

Cale did not respond. His eyes remained fixed on the map of Carrington Bay displayed across the screen. The phone lying on the table suddenly vibrated.

The number on the screen was unfamiliar. Although he frowned slightly in confusion, Cale immediately picked up the phone and answered it. He deliberately put the call on speaker.

"Yes."

There was no response for several seconds. Then the voice of a middle-aged man came from the other end of the line. "Good afternoon, Mr. Miller."

His tone was calm, almost too relaxed for a situation like this.

"Who is this?"

"Hector Graham."

"No." Hector's voice was steady. "I'm offering you a partnership."

"What's the difference?" Cale replied coldly.

"There is one, Mr. Miller." Hector answered without hesitation. "Because if you refuse, I'll stop this investigation as well."

Those words seemed to suck the air out of the room. Chris even found himself stepping closer to Cale without realizing it. Meanwhile, Cale did not answer immediately. He simply stared at the large screen that still displayed the map of Carrington Bay.

Several seconds later, Hector finally spoke again. "How about we meet tomorrow morning?"

"Where?" Cale asked immediately.

"I'll let you know soon," Hector replied calmly. "And... make sure you come to meet me alone."

Cale said nothing.

"I'll take that as your agreement to meet, Mr. Miller," Hector said. "Oh, shall I pass along your regards to Mrs. Miller?"

"You!!!"

The call disconnected abruptly before Cale had the chance to say another word.
