Ethan Hale shot a glance toward the car. Seeing Mia Carter approaching, he crushed his cigarette and tossed it into the trash.

The doors unlocked, and the two of them climbed in.

Ethan sat in the passenger seat, his long, powerful legs forced into a cramped, awkward position. A faint scent of tobacco drifted off him, filling the car.
