Ethan didn’t give a damn about what Jaxon was saying. He grabbed his phone from the edge of the pool and dialed Mia’s number.

Just outside the hot spring area, there was a small garden.

Mia sank onto a bench, replaying the conversation with Jaxon in her head. She was kicking herself for admitting the truth so easily.

She knew she couldn’t have shaken Jaxon off otherwise, but she still felt a wave of restless frustration and helplessness.

Her phone buzzed suddenly. When she saw Ethan’s name on the screen, she panicked.
