HIS STRIPPER, HIS WIFE novel Chapter 73

Chapter 73

Bianca

“Oh.” I typed, acting like I actually forgot, when in truth I had rushed out without packing everything just so I wouldn’t wake

him.

“I can always take them another day, when we are both chanced.” I replied, then dropped my phone on the small box to finally take my bath. By the time I came out, Amanda was already changed into work clothes, one of the many outfits she kept stashed somewhere inside my wardrobe for days exactly like this.

“Now start talking.” she said the moment she lifted her head to look at me, arms folded, eyes narrowed like she was interrogating a suspect.

I sighed and sat down on the edge of my bed, towel still wrapped around me, dripping slightly onto the floor. There was ho point pretending I didn’t know what she wanted.

“Okay, okay.” I said. “so you remember the club? The one I used to work at?”

Amanda’s face changed instantly. “Wait.” She held up a hand like she was stopping traffic. “What?! I thought you told me you stopped working there.”

“I did stop. Eventually.” I said, reaching for my body cream, trying to look busier than I actually was so I wouldn’t have to look her fully in the eye.

“Bianca.” Her voice dropped, flat and unimpressed, “Don’t eventually me. Explain.”

“I needed Emma’s surgery fee. Amanda. You know how much that hospital was asking for. I didn’t have a choice.” I said it quietly, because even now, saying it out loud still made something twist in my chest.

Her expression softened almost immediately, the teasing edge melting into something gentler. She sat down beside me. tucking one leg under herself. “Okay. I’m listening. Continue.”

And she meant it too. One thing about Amanda, whatever her mouth did, whatever jokes she cracked, she always listened properly when it mattered.

“So we met the first night,” I said, “he was there. In the private section. I didn’t even clock him as anybody important at first, just another rich guy in an expensive suit acting like the room owed him something.”

“Naturally.” Amanda muttered, and I almost laughed.

“He watched my whole performance. Didn’t say much. But at the end of the night, he tipped me an amount that honestly made me sit down for a second in the back room.” I continued rubbing cream into my arms, my mind drifting back to that night, the lights, the music, the way his eyes had followed me the entire time like he was studying something rather than just watching.

“How much are we talking about?” Amanda asked, eyebrows raised, already calculating in her head like she always did with

money.

“Enough to use as a deposit for Emma’s bill.” I said. “I paid it that same week.”

Amanda went quiet for a second, and I could see her doing the math, connecting the dots in her head. “So that’s how Emma’s surgery money came together that fast. I kept wondering.”

“Yeah Ladmitted. “He booked me again after that. A private session, different terms and I went.”

“You went she repeated lowly.

“I went.” I said again, firmer this time, because I didn’t want her thinking I regretted it, because at that moment, with Emma’s life on the line, I hadn’t hesitated for a second.

“And?” she pressed, leaning forward now, fully invested, elbows on her knees.

“And the second time, I felt more comfortable than the first. Like, less nervous. I made sure to enjoy everything I was doing as much as he is too and I figured he wasn’t as intimidating once you got past the whole billionaire energy he carries around like a crown.”

“Uh huh.” Amanda said, nodding slowly, clearly building up to something. “So did you in anyway cross the line?”

“Yes.” I said simply, standing up to grab my work jacket from the hanger, hoping that would be the end of the interrogation but it was not.

“Hold on.” Amanda said, standing up too. grabbing her bag off my bed as we both started heading for the door, the conversation apparently continuing whether I liked it or not.

We stepped out of my room, down the short hallway, and toward the front door, keys jingling in my hand as I locked up behind us. The morning traffic outside my building was already starting to pick up.

“My ears are still wide open to listen.” Amanda said from behind me.

“Okay so we got intimate.” I tried to say it casually.

“By intimate.” Amanda said, now walking beside me, tilting her head with that mischievous look she always got right before she said something to embarrass me, “you mean?”

“Amanda!” I said loudly, feeling heat rush straight to my face, glancing around even though nobody around us was paying

attention.

“What?” she said, all fake innocence, though the smile tugging at her lips gave her away completely. “Answer my question, girl.”

I groaned, covering my face with one hand for a second before dropping it. There was no escaping this, not with Amanda,

not ever.

“We had sex.” I said finally, my voice quieter but clear enough that she heard it perfectly.

Amanda’s whole face lit up like I had just handed her the biggest gift of her life. She spun around dramatically and took off, half running, half skipping toward her car parked just outside the gate.

“Oh my Godddd.” she shouted, loud enough that I was sure at least two of my neighbors heard it through their windows.

“Amanda, shut up!” I called after her, laughing now, my earlier embarrassment melting into something lighter…

She reached her car and turned back to face me, one hand on the door, the other pressed dramatically to her chest like she was about to faint. “My friend Bianca. Slept with a billionaire CEO who is our boss and didn’t tell me for how long?”

“It wasn’t like that in the beginning, it’s a long story. I’ll explain everything properly later, I need to be at work in like thirty minutes.” I said, walking to the other side of the door, checking the time on my phone.

“We are going to the same place, remember?” She said, rolling her eyes.

“Okay, can we get into the car now, I will continue explaining.” I said.

“You better” she said, pointing a finger at me even as she climbed into her car. “Every single detail, Bianca. I’m not playing with you

I climbed into the passenger seat, still shaking my head at her, and pulled the door shut just as she started the engine. The

radio came on low, some I song playing softly in the background, and for a second neither of us said anything, the car just filling with the hum of traffic starting up around us.

“Okay” Amanda said, pulling out of the compound and onto the main road, eyes on traffic but clearly still very much. focused on me. “Continue. You said you’ll explain properly.”

I took a deep breath, watching the buildings blur past outside my window. “So after that second time, things just kind of stopped for a while. He didn’t book me again, no messages, nothing. I thought maybe that was it, maybe he lost interest or found someone else.”

“And?” Amanda pressed, glancing at me quickly before turning her attention back to the road.
