After the phone rang for a moment, Tarquin Bradford walked into the bedroom with it in hand.
He stood by the bathroom door. "Elysia, Diane is calling you."
The sound of the shower stopped. "Who?"
"Diane."
Elysia Thorne frowned.
"Why is she calling me so late?! Answer it for me. Just tell her I'm in the shower and can't pick up."
Because of Jae-hyun Kim, she had zero desire to interact with Diane.
She had already given her warning through Booker Murphy. If Diane insisted on staying with Jae-hyun, there was nothing anyone else could do.
Tarquin gave a low hum of acknowledgment and walked out with the phone.
The moment he answered, Diane's voice came through the line.
"Elysia, are you in Koryon too?!"
Tarquin narrowed his eyes.
"It's Tarquin. Elysia is in the shower and can't come to the phone right now. Did you need something?"
Diane sounded entirely surprised.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Tarquin. I thought it was Elysia. I heard you guys came to Koryon, and coincidentally, Jae-hyun and I just got back as well."
"Jae-hyun wants to invite you over to the Kim estate for dinner tomorrow. Are you free?"
Tarquin's gaze sharpened. "How did he know we were in Koryon?"
Diane explained:
"I told him. I mentioned I was coming to Koryon today, and Booker told me you guys were here too, so we could all get together."
"When Jae-hyun heard, he wanted to be a good host."
"It just so happens that I'm meeting his parents for the first time tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, so I was hoping Elysia could come with me for moral support!"
Before Tarquin could even open his mouth, Evan was already nodding furiously at him, signaling him to agree!
