46 Telling Dad
Chrissy POV

My eyes open and I’m still annoyed. Jack refused to sleep in bed with me last night when he saw what I had on. A short silk nightgown that rested high on my thigh with matching panties. I know he isn’t a freaking virgin, but he was acting like I might steal his virtue if he slept in my bed. I don’t think I’ve ever been this s*xually frustrated in my life. I throw the blankets off and stomp into my bathroom. I run a brush through my hair and brush my teeth. I debate about changing my silk gown but decide against it. I hope it’s torture because he can look, but I’ll be damned if he touches after shooting me down.
I make my way down the hall and into the kitchen. I almost trip over my own feet when I see Jack standing in my kitchen. His bare back bunching as he fiddles with something on the stove. His sleep pants hugging his s*xy muscular a** and his feet bare. He turns catching me ogling him. His smile quickly fades when he realizes I’m still wearing the silk nightgown that comes to just the bottom of my a**. I close the distance between us and lift his mouth closed with my fingertips.
He smiles until he reaches for me and I step back. “You don’t want to hug me, good morning,” he asks. “You didn’t want to sleep with me last night, so no I don’t want to hug you now.” I know I sound like a brat, but I don’t care at this moment. He chuckles before he reaches out
and wraps his arm around my middle. “Jack Frost, let me go right now.” “I will never let you go, Chrissy Kringle. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings last night. I simply want to talk to your father before we take the next step in our relationship,” he says.
Now I’m even more irritated. “You want to talk to my father before we f**k. He isn’t the one that needs to give you permission, Jack.” A hard slap on my a** has my eyes widening in shock. “Did you just spank me?” “I did. First, I never said I needed to talk to your dad for permission. It’s the same situation as with Nick. I simply respect your father. I want him to know I’m in love with his daughter. This is not me asking for permission, Chrissy,” he says.
“Second, I am well aware who is in charge of this body,” he says, tightening his hold on me. I can feel the evidence of his arousal against my hip. “Now, I’m going to feed you breakfast while you torture me in that silky little dress and I will torture you, leaving all my muscles on display. Then we are going to see your dad. I would like him to get used to the idea, so he will perform our pledging after he does Nick and Clarice’s,” he says.
“You’re serious. We are going to go see my dad today, five days before Christmas.” “Yes, I told you I was done being a coward,” he says. I can’t stop the smile that spreads across my face. He lowers his lips to mine and I wrap my arms around his neck. He kisses me like I’m the air he needs to breathe. By the time he breaks the kiss, I’m going to need a very cold shower

before we visit my father. He pulls out my chair and presses another kiss to my forehead before he places a plate of all my favorite breakfast foods in front of me.
“I told you I was always watching you,” he says as he takes his own seat. “You did, creeper,” I say, and he throws a piece of bacon at me. Two hours later, we step into my childhood home. My mother is sitting in my father’s green chair with a huge smile on her face and a steaming cup of coco in her hand.
“Chrissy and Jack, I didn’t expect to see you so soon,” she says, “Why don’t I believe you? You knew we were coming, didn’t you?” “I might have had a vision of your visit. Besides, I knew that you had to come before Christmas so you could pledge to each other,” she says. I roll my eyes and Jack chuckles, “Where is dad?” “He is out with the reindeer, but I’ve told him you’re here. He’ll be in soon. Do you want anything to drink Jack? A little liquid courage perhaps,”
she teases.
“Mom, could you try not to freak him out?” “I have news your father was terrified of meeting my father, and he was human. It’s a right of passage for men when they find the woman they want to spend the rest of their lives with. When a man really loves a woman, he wants her father’s acceptance. Not because he needs it but because your father is the first man you ever loved,” she says. Before I can say anything, my father steps into the room. His eyes zero in on Jack’s arm around me and I expect Jack to step away under his glare, but he doesn’t.
“Does someone want to tell me why Jack Frost has his arm around my little girl,” he asks. “Oh, don’t start Christopher Kringle. She isn’t a little girl anymore,” my mom says and I giggle. “Chrissy, what is going on,” he asks me directly. “Jack is my one, dad. In fact, we want to pledge on Christmas day with Clarice and Nick.” “You are kidding me right. This is a joke. The man that has a body count in the double digits is your one, and you want me to join you,” he
says.
“That’s enough dad. I love you and I respect your opinion, but you don’t get to have one about me and Jack. Whatever he got up to before me is none of my concern. He is the man I love and want to spend the rest of my life with. You can either accept that or not, but I choose him.” “For the record, my body count is not double digits. I’m not sure where or who you got that idea from Chris, but it isn’t true,” Jack says.
you cared “Your father, the few times we have spent time together, has spoken about how all about was partying and girls up until about five years ago. He is a cold son of b**ch, but I didn’t think he was a l**r” my father says. “Jack, you do not have to defend your s*x life to my father or yours.” “Chrissy,” my dad starts to say. “No dad, Jack wanted to tell you about our relationship out of respect for you before we took things further but let me be clear. I choose him. He is my one.”
My dad looks between the two of us before his shoulders sag. “Tell them why you are giving

Jack such a hard time, Chris or I will, my mom says. I look at my dad, and he offers me a smile. “You are my little girl. I wanted you to stay innocent forever even though I know its selfish. You are still a baby to me. I know Jack will treat you well. I already consider him my son. I’m sorry Jack, forgive me, my dad says. “Dad, do you think that I don’t have my own body count,” I ask, and my father groans.
Jack practically growls in my ear. “Yes, I want to believe that you have no body count, so don’t burst my bubble sweetheart,” he says. I throw my head back and laugh before I make my way over to him. He pulls me in for one of his amazing hugs. “Congratulations sweetheart. He is a good man,” he says. “Thank you, dad.” He sets me on my feet before he opens his arms to Jack.
Jack immediately hugs him. I giggle when my dad threatens to bury him in an avalanche if he ever hurts me. “You have nothing to worry about, Chris. Do you know why I stopped partying about five years ago, Chris, Jack asks. My father shakes his head. “I stopped because I found my one. I was just too much of a coward to claim her. She is my heart. I would sooner hurt myself than to hurt her, Jack says.
“Good,” he says, slapping Jack on the back. My mother squeals and wraps me in a hug. “We will have to go shopping for you and Clarice. Something simple and elegant for the snow,” she says. “We will have to do it tomorrow, mom. Clarice and Nick are going to see grandma and grandpa this afternoon in the village.” “I know, he told me. I have a feeling it is going to be quite a visit,” my mother says. “What did you see, mom?” “Let’s just say that loony Loretta isn’t the only crazy b**ch your brother and Clarice have to deal with,” she says.
“Did you at least warn them?” “You know your brother doesn’t like being told what is going to happen in the future. Besides, my vision wasn’t specific, which means that it may or may not happen. Your brother will protect Clarice. I have no doubt, no matter what happens, they will be fine. If you are really worried, you could take Jack to see your grandparents and tell them the good news,” she says. A smile spreads across my face. “That sounds like a great idea.”
