He walked away and returned to his table.
"That man is everywhere but he should be questioning Diana, no?" Louis asked.
"He doesn’t believe in our evidence yet, which is to be expected. He’s never believed me when I tried to tell him the truth," I told Louis.
"You did great up there by the way," he praised me. "Keith is panicking because he knows how it looks."
"Thank you," I said to him. " but it’s Diana I’m more interested in. I don’t think she knows that we know about her supporter." She turned completely white the lawyers brought up reaction tells me she wasn’t
Louis followed my gaze and looked at Diana who had left her seat in the audience and was talking to Keith. Her hands came to her teeth and she bit get nails. She was unravelling.
Her eyes then met mine. I gave her my most insidious smirk letting her know I was onto me. Her face frowned as she quickly glanced away from me and back at Keith. I can only imagine the panic-driven lies she was telling him.
The two then left the courtroom together with their entourage.
"But they are working together why wouldn’t she know?" Louis asked.
"I don’t know," I said to him.
We were given a time frame of between and an hour and an hour and a half depending on how long it takes them to verify the evidence. I crossed my fingers as I hoped for the judge to give a favorable verdict.
We left the courtroom to get some food as it was noon.
We had some delivered for myself, Louis and our bodyguards and my lawyers we seating area of the justice department. An hour and a half later the court session resumed.
"Court session has resumed," the court officer announced. Once everyone in the courtroom was settled, Judge Watkins spoke into the microphone.
"We will resume the court session of case number 98673," he started. "The Court has reviewed the evidence that was presented earlier, including financial records and supporting declarations. Based on that review, the Court finds that the petitioner has credible evidence of financial control and deprivation that has directly impacted the welfare of the minor child,"
My eyes widened in genuine surprise upon hearing this. I heard murmurs erupt from Keiths side.
"At this stage the court is not making a final decision on the case. However, the evidence presented is sufficient to support a temporary arrangement that Keith Acland’s conduct created instability and placed Mrs. Acland and the child at risk. As a minor is involved the court finds that immediate intervention is necessary to protect Childs best interests. The court hereby grants Jasmine Acland temporary sole, legal, and physical custody of the child. Mr Ackands contact with the child will be limited and this will be outlined in the order issued today.
It felt like one blessing after another as the judge gave his verdict.
"This arrangement is temporary and will be upheld until the full evidentiary hearing set for 19 July 2015. At that time more evidence can be submitted by both partiesm" Watkins continued.
Two and a half weeks from now, I thought to myself.
