DIANA'S POV

As I sat leaning against the delivery truck walls my mind thought of Keith and his estate. I still couldn't wrap my head around the day's events.

I just hoped Keith hadn't made it in time. With Jasmine dead at least he wouldn't get her back. We were both losing something.

"What were those things the servants were putting in Marco's bedroom?" I asked my head maid in a whisper.

"We've been found out and Mr Acland was planning to get a DNA test for the young master Marco. The Master suggested we get rid of all evidence. So he had us plant explosives in the young master's room to get rid of evidence.

My mouth opened wide at a loss for words. So he was blowing up the whole room? I internally scoffed. The sheer scale of the plan aside, it showed he knew about Jasmine exposing me.

He was aware of this issue for a long time if he came up with a plan like this. Rage coursed through my veins as I thought of the words I had prepared for him.

After driving for a while the truck finally came to a stop. We all got out and the driver came out of the driver's seat. I recognized him as one of 'his' bodyguards. He must have stolen the truck from the company that made deliveries to Keith's estate.

"We're changing cars," he said to us and he led us to a black van that was waiting for us nearby. We then continued to make our way to 'his' estate.

The sun had just set and only a thin line could be viewed on the horizon. was early evening

When we arrived at his estate about two hours later. In the parking area of the home, another car was parked with open doors as people

Looks like he too, had arrived. The bright lights of the estate grounds lit up the area.

As I got out of the van I watched as the men from the other vehicle exited it.

They were all wearing black outfits, holding masks.

One of the bodyguards caught my attention as he held a body over his shoulder. Squinting to get a better look in the artificial light I saw it was a small boy his eyes closed. I realized I recognized him.

That—that was Anthony?! My eyes blinked once more unsure they had seen correctly.

"Diana," I heard his familiar deep voice. I turned and found him walking toward me.

His face had a bruise above his right eye and he had a cut on his lower lip. Looks like a lot has happened to him. I thought to myself.

"What's Jasmines son doing here?" I asked him curiously. Why on earth would he take Jasmine's son? However, on the one hand, his having her son confirmed that he had done the job. Jasmine was dead. A wave of relief and joy came over me at that.

"That's none of your concern," he started.

My eyebrows cocked."Why didn't you tell me about any of this plan to bring us back here!?" I then confronted him.

"There wasn't any time to explain to you," he started unbothered as he yawned.
