Chapter 254: Miscellaneous expenses

JASMINE’S POV

I had to figure out out how to communicate with Louis I thought to myself as I read through the financial documents. The first step of getting Keith to give it back to me was done.

The phone was obviously being monitored by Keith. The minute he saw me call Louis it was over.

It’s odd that my theory was right, though. I occasionally glanced up at him as I worked. I thought of the folder full of pictures of me

I would have never guessed Keith’s feelings without the folder in his office. Throughout the 7 years before Diana arrived, we were never affectionate toward each other. At least not like this. He touched and been more attentive to me in the past week than in the whole 7 years.

Mind you, those images in those folders were taken whilst he was still with Diana and supposedly planning to marry her. The entire reason he had abandoned Tony and me was because of her. So where did this obsession come from? Throughout our entire marriage, he told me he had strong feelings for Diana, and that’s why I should never expect love from him. So what the hell happened in the last few months since I came back?

"Shall we go home?" Keith asked me.

I blinked as I was brought out of my thoughts and looked up at him in surprise.

I looked at the giant clock on the wall and saw it was 8pm already. I hadn’t even realized since I was so engrossed by the documents and my thoughts. We were working late lately. Keith was balancing the investigation and his work schedule so thats what took more time.

"Uh, yes," I replied as stared at him. He then held out his hand for me to to take.

I stared at it for a moment before I took it and he helped me up as. How I wish I could crack open that skull and understand what he’s thinking. He seemed eager and was getting me more comfortable with being more affectionate with me. Though I knew deep down he also closely watching me as well.

What do you want from me in the end? Do you really expect me to accept everything you’ve done and we move on like this?

Regardless of his confusing desires, I wouldn’t continue to soften up though. If being kinder to him got me my phone back I imagine it would eventually make him lower the surveillance on me.

We arrived at his estate and after having dinner together and talking briefly we then split up and I went to our separate ways for the night.

All through the night I continued thinking of how I could contact Louis.

I was in the seating area of my bedroom everything laid out on the table in front of me. I knew Keith wasn’t in his bedroom he would stay in his home office. Looks like neither of us were able to sleep. I checked the time on my phone on the table next to the documents and saw it was around 3am now.
