Chapter 257: Where is he

KEITH’S POV

I had Jasmine escorted by some bodyguards back to her room. Edward, was it really you? Had he been the one who had taken Tony?

I called my bodyguards and commanded them to prepare a full-scale investigation on Edward. I had them call the police and have an emergency warrant to search his home immediately. If Tony were there, I would find him. I also had my bodyguard at the HQ to discreetly watch Edwards’ movements. They confirmed he was at the HQ. I told them to discreetly watch him until i arrived.

I then left my home office to go to my room and prepare to go to the HQ. I made a small check as I put on my suit after my shower. I opened my laptop and opened the app that contains the spy software I used to check Jasmine’s activity on her devices. She hadn’t contacted ’him’ so far. Good. She was only doing normal activities on her social media, liking posts. Good. I’d have to see if this persists.

Once I was done preparing, I left my room and made my way to jasmine at the entrance of the estate.

I looked at her as we made our way to the HQ in the car. She looked impatient beside me as we made our That tense feeling between us had slowly dissipated. We were working so well together in solving this.

Upon arriving at HQ I got out of the car and went around where Jasmine was being helped out of the car on the other side.

I held out my hand for her to take. We were both tired from barely having slept, working all night to solve this. I knew she was exhausted not only from the night but from all the days we’ve been working through this.

She smiled weakly at me and took my hand. We entered the building together my mood was furious.

Upon arriving to my office I waited for Edward and Edward came to give me his usual updates for my schedule for the day as well as submit reports.

Jasmine and I went towards my desk and I held my chair at the desk.

"Sit here," I told Jasmine to sit on the chair at my desk. It would help when we confronted Edward later. I didn’t want her standing whilst her leg was still

When Edward entered my office 10 minutes later I was sat on the edge of my desk, the finance documents ready beside me. My eyes narrowed as he walked up to my desk.

"Good morning Chairman and Mrs. Acland," he said as he placed some documents on the desk. "These are documents that need to be signed and your schedule for the da--" he then suddenly paused.

"Is something the matter, sir?" He asked me as he looked from Jasmine, seated at my desk, to me.

"Why don’t you have a seat, Edward?" I said in a calm manner.

I then glanced at two of my bodyguards by the door and signalled for them to come closer. Immediately, the two men came and stood behind him. He looked back at them in horror as they made him sit down.

"Chairman?" He asked in confusion.

My eyes narrowed in annoyance. All these years of pretending to loyally work for him. But he was actually working against me. Yet here he was with the audacity to act like everything was fine.
