LOUIS’ POV
"Mr Carrington, here is your coffee!" She said enthusiastically as she placed it on my desk. I was going through some work documents in my office at the Carrinton HQ.
"Thank you," I said to her and looked down at her.
She looked at me expectantly as she looked at the papers and drew closer to me. "Is there any work you need me to do or something you need?" She asked as she leaned into me, and I suspiciously eyed her, wondering what she was doing.
Her green eyes looked up to me innocently as if she wasn’t doing anything.
"No, I’m fine, I’m sure you have work of your own to do. I reminded her as I moved away from her.
"Yes, of course, but don’t hesitate to call me," she accepted and then walked out of my office. I felt relieved seeing her gone.
Leigh-Anne catered to me a little too much. Always making my coffee, always getting uncomfortably close or trying to flirt with me. At first, in my first week, it was a bit subtle, but now it seemed she was getting worse.
I was working on the current project that my father had assigned me. Last week I was working with Leigh-Anne to get me up to speed with the workings of the Carrington HQ. I did my best to learn everything on my own since Leigh-Anne was up to other things whenever I tried to work with her...
Then the following week, my father gave me the first project to work on, so I could implement plans similar to the one Jasmine and I used at the Garden house. The project dealt with one of the Carrington group’s main chain restaurants.
I read through the document trying to understand how to go about it. The surprising thing I learned however, as my father explained the project and as I went through the documents of the chains performance was that it had been doing badly.
I realised that this was Roberts mistake. He had invested massive amounts of money into an idea for the chain that ultimately failed. Hundreds of dollars
My task similarly to the Garden House plan was to find a way for the chain to use a smaller budget but still produce a high quality but effective product without
Essentially, correcting Roberts mistake and gaining back the lost money relatively quickly. It was quite the massive task to take on but looking at the data I think it was possible to do. Not mention if I was able to do it my father would be quite proud.
From most of the day I worked on completing the plan I had in mind. Leigh-Anne came to discuss my schedule and to do any tasks I had for her to help with the project.
At the end of the day
"And remember that tomorrow evening there’s an event this evening for the Carrington group tommorow," she informed me.
"Oh yes," I replied as I remembered this fact.
The following day I continued brainstorming and finalising the plan my father had developed.
When evening came I got dressed in changing room/bathroom and wore the suit I had prepared to wear for the event. I then returned to my office. I figured Leigh-Anne was in her office so I went towards her office to find out if she was ready
Leigh-Anne was dressed in a lovely blue gown.
"Are you ready?" I asked her.
