Chapter 58: Ignored Messages

Also when are you going to tell Megan? I asked him as we made our way up the stairs.

"Soon! Don’t rush me I’m going to tell her, he complained. " She’s not even working today."

When we arrived home and making our way to our home I then noticed a black car parked by the gate entrance of our home. I stopped Tony and I our tracks. Just as I had been fearing. Someone was there.

A part of me thought it was Diana. However, thinking about it was unlikely it was her. She had said herself that Keith was going to call me in for ’punching’ her in the eye. It was most likely Keith.

I wasn’t afraid of Keith but I was not in the mood to speak with him right now. I was agitated from lack of sleep and tied with the fact that Keith was going to be reprimanding me for something I didn’t do, I wasn’t sure how I would act if I talked to him.

"On second thought let’s eat dinner out today," I told Tony.

As I had us turn away and head back the way we came.

"Is that Dad at the gate? Is he here to see you again?"

"Probably, But I don’t want to talk to him," I told him.

Tony luckily was unaware of Diana’s visit last night as he was fast asleep. The fear I would have had, had he woken up and had to go through the same harrowing experience I had would have scarred me.

As we ate I made conversation with Tony and talked about school and my work.

However, my thoughts were also juggling our situation.

I was very clearly out of my depth right now. I had underestimated Diana’s jealousy. She was doing all this because she thought Keith had some how been interested in me lately and I was intentionally making him interested. Just ridiculous. What was going with both Diana and Keith!? Here I had thought that from my past life that if I distanced myself as I planned my divorce and departure I would be free from them.

The following morning as Tony and I left the house I noticed the black sedan had returned and was parked by the gate. That was probably Keith I thought to myself as I recalled his message which I didn’t respond to last night.

"Let’s leave from the back gate," I told Tony. We used the back gate and managed to avoid Keith’s men. I managed to take Tony to school and myself to work with no issue. It during the breakfast service that I got a message from Keith again.

’You can’t keep avoiding me like this. This is serious Jasmine’ The message read.

I rolled my eyes, put my phone away and continued service. After breakfast service all the waiters and I were cleaning up the dining area to begin preparing for lunch service. I then noticed the manager walking across the dining area with a familiar face.

"That man’s back again," I commented to Megan who was nearby as we worked. Andrew Gatwick was his name if i remembered correctly. He was one f the higher ups and worked as Louis assistant.

"Ugh, Hopefully I can steer clear of him," she commented as she looked at him with disgust. I knew she was referring to the fact that he was known to be creepy.

"I wonder what he’s here for this time," I wondered.

"It’s near the end of the month he’s probably here for book keeping and sales to see how well the restaurant performed this month," Megan explained.
