I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 387

Time flew by in the blink of an eye.

Two years had passed, and Caelum Atelier was fully thriving on the right track.

The team had grown from a meager four or five members to a staff of several dozen, and the studio space itself had expanded from a single room to taking over the entire floor. In fact, Sienna was even considering whether to lease the space upstairs to accommodate their growth.

The turning point that truly put the studio on the map was the "Mountain and Sea" collection released a few years prior, which had the honor of being featured in a major spread of a prestigious fashion magazine.

The name Caelum Atelier soared to fame because of it.

Now, everyone in the studio was constantly buried in work, and their custom commission slots were booked solid for the next six months.

It was past four in the afternoon.

The sky was beginning to deepen, and the golden-orange rays of the sunset spilled through the windows, bathing the room in a warm amber glow.

Sienna sat at her desk, still hammering out the final details of a project.

An employee stood in front of her desk, giving a status report.

"Sienna, about Mr. Rivers' rush order—the factory says they might not make the deadline. They asked if we could alter the crafting process to save time..."

"Absolutely not." Sienna rubbed her temples. "Tell the factory we can explain a delay, but under no circumstances are they to alter the crafting process without authorization."

Sienna had a very deep impression of Mr. Rivers. He was a veteran expert in the jewelry collecting world, incredibly particular about craftsmanship, and she had no intention of risking her reputation by cutting corners.

"Communicate properly with Mr. Rivers. A two-day delay, we'll comp a delivery..."

Sienna paused, lowering her eyes.

Her phone screen lit up on the desk.

She asked her colleague to hold on a moment and answered the call.

A deep, resonant male voice came through the line, his tone carrying a lazy, magnetic rasp. "Still can't get an appointment tonight, Director Quinn?"

She replied breezily, "That's right, Mr. Vaughn. You'll just have to get in line."

As she spoke, she heard it.

Two helpless, low chuckles echoed through the receiver.

The next sentence immediately followed. "What about my girlfriend, can I get an appointment with her?"

Sienna's lips curled up. "Probably not. Your girlfriend is just as busy as Director Quinn."

Two knocks rapped against the door.

Sienna paused, looked up toward the entrance, and called out, "Come in."

Before she could even pull her gaze away, her eyes went wide.

The man standing at the door held a cake box in his hand. He stepped into the room with his long legs, walking over with steady confidence, and smoothly placed it on her desk in one fluid motion.

Sienna genuinely hadn't expected him to be right outside the door.
