"What did you just say?"
Sienna had thought a lot about marriage.
The reason she hadn't agreed to his proposal back then was because her career hadn't taken off yet. Now that her studio was entirely on track and she finally had the time, she was ready to consider getting married.
Sienna smiled at him. "Are your ears not working either? Have you gone silly, Mr. Vaughn? If you play dumb this time, I might just take it back."
-
In the middle of the night.
Jorrod brought her back to the villa, taking her to a room he had prepared long in advance. Dropping to one knee, he proposed with utmost solemnity and absolute sincerity.
When the ring was finally slipped onto her ring finger.
Jorrod stood up and stepped in front of her. His eyes were dark and intense, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly as he pulled her into his arms with an incredibly gentle, infinitely cherished embrace.
Sienna didn't push him away, but as her gaze swept over the pristine new decorations in the room, she couldn't help but gasp in shock.
The floor lamps cast a soft, warm glow over the vintage, richly patterned velvet carpet covering the floor, while breathtaking floral arrangements and elegant decor wove together to create a stunning backdrop.
Overhead, the crystal chandelier sparkled brilliantly, casting fractured light into every corner of the room. Every single inch of the space was immaculately detailed and spotless, looking completely brand new.
It looked as if it had just been set up.
"When did you prepare all of this?"
"Sunday."
Sienna was stunned. "How could the timing be so perfect?"
It just happened to align with the exact moment she finally said yes.
Beside her ear, the man's voice came out slightly raspy. "It wasn't perfect timing."
"Hmm?"
"It was every Sunday."
Sienna was completely floored. "Since when?"
Jorrod replied, "Since you banned me from randomly proposing to you all the time."
From that moment on, every single week, he had carved out time to completely refresh and update the room's decorations.
Just waiting for this exact day.
He had no idea when his girlfriend would finally relent.
But by doing this, no matter when that day arrived, it would never be rushed. Everything would always be flawlessly prepared.
"You..." Sienna was so stunned she couldn't speak for a long time.
Jorrod buried his chin in the crook of her neck, tightening his arms around her. "So today, this room finally got to welcome you."
Sienna raised her arms, gently wrapping them around the man's lean waist pressed tightly against her.
