I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 206

Ffion cried out, staggering back from the force of the blow before collapsing to the ground, a trickle of blood leaking from her lips.

“Listen to me very carefully,” Jareth warned, his voice low and menacing. “From this day forward, if you so much as touch a single hair on Niamh’s head, I will make sure you have no future left in Cliffhaven.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Bragg, I’m so sorry!” Ffion scrambled to his feet, bowing her head to the floor in a desperate apology.

“I was wrong! Please, let me go, won’t you? I swear, I’ll never bother Niamh again! I wasn’t even here for her today, I came to see Cassian! Please, Mr. Bragg, have mercy!”

So, he was holding Niamh’s hand. The little tramp was more resourceful than she’d thought, managing to latch onto someone so powerful in such a short time.

Her own daughter, Rhoslyn, was a fool. She couldn’t even keep Cormac, let alone land a man like Jareth Bragg. Ffion had urged her to try, but Rhoslyn had insisted that Mr. Bragg was uninterested in women, that no female could get close to him.

It was clear her daughter just wasn’t skilled enough. When it came to manipulation, she was no match for this little bitch, Niamh.

Ffion had tried for years to convince Cassian to send Niamh to an orphanage, but he’d refused, treating the girl like a precious treasure. It was proof that Niamh had a knack for charming men, a talent her own daughter lacked entirely.

When Jareth remained silent, Ffion continued to plead. “Mr. Bragg, please let me go. I promise, I won’t cause any more trouble for Niamh. If I have a problem, I’ll only deal with Cassian!”

“You will not pester Cassian either,” Jareth roared. “Or you’ll regret it. I’ll count to three. If you’re not gone by then, I’ll have my men throw you out.”

Ffion’s face went white as she remembered the fate of the little dog. She scrambled to her feet and turned to flee.
