Only then did she notice the message attached to the second friend request.
Note: It's Isaac Holloway.
It was him.
It made perfect sense. As the incoming Vice President overseeing the ER, it was perfectly normal for him to add his staff.
"Never mind, the other one is just a colleague," Sienna told Lily.
"Well, just have fun chatting with Landon. No pressure, just see him as a new friend. He's a second-year grad student in the acting program. The guy has a ton of great qualities, and his insane looks are honestly the least interesting thing about him. Just get to know him."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Sienna accepted Landon White first, and then Isaac Holloway.
She was already riding the subway home.
Her thumbs hovered over the keyboard, debating how to start the conversations.
But both men beat her to it.
She was entirely caught off guard.
Landon White:
[Hi Dr. Sterling, it's Landon! I'm acting in a play next Wednesday at the Metropolis Grand Theatre. Would you want to come see it?]
Sienna:
[Sure. What time?]
Landon:
[5:00 PM! I'll send you the QR code for the ticket, you can just scan it at the door.]
[I'm so thrilled you can make it!]
She couldn't help but smile slightly at his enthusiasm.
Sienna:
[Great. See you next Wednesday.]
She exited the chat and opened Isaac's message.
[Dr. Sterling, it's Isaac Holloway. The initial results for the Lead ER Physician nominations were clearly biased. I've contacted the board, and the evaluations will be redone. Keep up the excellent work.]
It was strictly professional, without a single wasted word.
Reading his formal encouragement, Sienna instinctively sat up straighter, a deep sense of gratitude washing over her.
Sienna:
[Thank you, Director Holloway. I will.]
Isaac:
[Good. Get some rest tonight.]
